Dear Sir, It's my first time that I come across your channel. I really enjoyed your content. I'm 47 years old right now. I was also a film student. Now I'm teaching filmmaking in Thailand. (I'm Thai, by the way) I never had a chance to make commercial films or feature length films and I think I never will. I still have a dream though. I'm also have financial problems. Lately, I've been interested in AI and AI filmmaking. I think it's not a future but it's now. Watching your video inspired me a lot. I want to say "Thank you" and please keep uploading videos. Both funding and partnership complication. Seeing you present a look behind the scene, your determination and hope to make your movie dream real, that's a movie on its own. Hey, thanks very much indeed, I really appreciate the encouragement. I have to be honest, I'm trusting that there are a LOAD of storytellers (screenwriters, novelists... you name it) who would LOVE to see their story brought to life, and if the tool-makers want to tap into this group, I'm hoping that this could lead to the democratisation of big-vision storytelling. I don't think it will "kill Hollywood", but it would be a great way for great stories to be discovered that would otherwise have remained anonymous.

Best of luck with your attempt to make the transition from doing corporate work to doing your own art and making a living at it. The scene where you rotate the camera and we leave your very professional backdrop to a cluttered apartment was moving. I haven't seen anyone else do that. It's a level of honesty I really appreciate. 5 more months of hard work, who knows, maybe you can make a breakthrough. It's a shame that independent artists struggle so hard to make ends meet. And it seems the general path to making money is selling out and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Since I started making Ai videos I make less money on my channel, and I get a lot of hate as well. I also now have the costs of AI memberships. So, I'm losing money. And I don't try to remedy this by catering to my audience, the general public, or the algorithm. In fact, I'm doing the opposite. Right now I'm working on my music videos, and the most they'll get if I'm lucky is 2k views, and that would bring me in about $5. I see other people with a lot less skill and vision churning out cookie cutter tutorial fodder and getting tons of views. But I can't bring myself to do that. It bores me. I can't watch their videos. Too boring and too little effort. Just hiding behind the tech. Enough about me. I get by. I found myself tearing up considering your situation and the likely prognosis. I'm in your corner and rooting for you. Hope there's a surprise and you get the proceeds you deserve. Cheers.

Dude, I feel your pain, people would rather click-on silly videos of someone spinning around doing nonsense (their choice) rather than something with substance. For example, I made a TV commercial on my KZitem channel called "What does a Paedophile look like?" It only got just over two hundred views but it should of went viral (in my opinion) because it's about the safety of children plus the production quality was top notch. But i truly believe this is the calm before the storm, so we as story tellers have to just keep moving forward and eventually we will get are opportunity!!

Thanks very much indeed for the compliment re the trailer, I really appreciate it. I think that by the end of the year I'll feel confident enough in the AI filmmaking skills I've learned that I'm hoping to create a series of training videos for KZitem early next year. I want to be confident that I can genuinely add value, then aim to undersell and overdeliver on the training. I think there are enough things for aspiring AI filmmakers to spend money on each month (with all our different monthly fees), so if possible, I'd prefer to create a series of training videos without charging a fee, and hope that the adverting revenue is enough to make it worthwhile.

It takes so much time to create a complete song and music video just to get a few hundred views..I know that it can be done, but one cannot put too much pressure on themselves to try to make it happen in a short amount of time, but best of luck
@HaydnRushworth-Filmmaker

Absolutely. I recently uploaded a short about the filmmaking "Trilemma", which I think will apply to musicians as well. The trilemma is that with film production (and music production too, perhaps), we always want three things: We want it to be: - GREAT - FAST - CHEAP but the problem is, nobody can have all three, you can only have two, and you get to choose which two to keep, and which one to give up on. I want my movie to be great, and it needs to be cheap, so that means I have to come to terms with the fact that it won't be fast to make, so I'd better buckle up and settle in for the long haul.

@HaydnRushworth-Filmmaker

That’s a fair point, actually. This videos wasn’t about specific prompts, as such, but more the general cinematic storytelling principle of aligning the mood, feel or emotion of a scene / story with a colour palette that enhances that mood and really drives it home. The idea is that if you’re matching the colour scheme to the mood, whenever a colour option features in one of your prompts, you’ll be better equipped to consciously choose colours that better fit with the feeling that you’re aiming for in the shot / scene / story.

Great job covering the color schemes. Valuable information. Even with using AI, the process is still slow. I think that the cheapest and quickest way is to go the Anime route. Unfortunately, this would appeal to a much smaller audience though. The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe had a cartoon version before a real version. The hobbit did as well. Do you think you could go this route?

That’s actually a really valid route to take because you can learn an enormous amount about the process of AI filmmaking and still get watchable results whilst you wait for the tech to catch up with more lifelike versions. Powerful video. Have you thought about offering an ia video service in the advertising field? You should develop an online training program for anyone who wants to get into AI video. Using AI to write blog posts to attract traffic and monetize that traffic in various ways... I see you a bit like a Shaolin master of ia video. Or creating an online film school where you'll teach classic techniques augmented with AI? Or collaborating, in revenue-sharing mode, with content creators specialized in animation who generate tens of thousands of dollars a month? Bravo again for your work, you're a modern-day hero. And as Stevie Wonder says in "Ribbon in the sky": "We find strength in each tear we cry". Bless your heart, it's really kind and gracious of you to offer so many kind suggestions and wonderful encouragement. Apologies for the delayed reply, I've been struggling to keep up. I love your suggestions, and I've been thinking about several of them already. In terms of training programs and an online film school, I can certainly hear that future calling, but I'm an extremely honest guy and I'm not going to offer such training until I feel as though I've figured out the answers myself. I'm definitely getting there, but, perhaps more than anybody else, I can see how many obstacles there still are to being able to use AI tools as legitimate story telling vehicles. If I'm honest, I'd hope to be able to create a training playlist for AI Filmmaking beginners by early next year. I think, by then, I'll be confident enough in the viability of these tools to create a training series. Even then, however, I'm very reluctant to charge a separate fee for a dedicated course. I'd prefer to keep it "free" on KZitem and garner advertising revenue. Even though I'll probably lose money this way, I'm actually trying to help my fellow storytellers to develop AI filmmaking skills, and we already have enough money that we need to find each month just to pay for the various AI services. A spot of good news though, I've already received two, legitimate paid promotion offers from AI companies, so as long as they have something legitimately useful to offer to narrative AI filmmakers, I'm in!

Ooooooh, that’s really helpful and intriguing feedback, thank you. I’ve actually been wrestling with this dilemma for a couple of weeks, and just in the last few days I’ve realised I’ve started to go down a path that has worried me from the start, and it’s a dilemma that every creative needs to reach their own decision about. It’s the age old creative question of who am I creating for? Myself, or an audience. Both options have upsides and downsides. I’ve always been an advocate for serving the customer / audience if you plan to be a professional, but there is plenty of scope to create for the love of it, or for yourself, essentially. I spent more than a decade writing the screenplay to the movie that I most wanted to watch, but I’ve had to wrestle with whether to make it less… me… and more, errrrr, “girly”. The pink version is definitely the “girly” version, and some initial viewings have been really positive, but the problem is I’m veering away from creating the movie that I would most want to watch, and that means I risk ending up creating something that doesn’t really impress anybody. With that concern weighing on me, I decided a couple of days ago to get back to the roots of creating something that I’d want to watch, so thanks for the little jolt… it helps :-)
@amandabritney8849

@@HaydnRushworth-Filmmaker Your thoughts really make sense to me. The dilemma you're facing is one that many creatives struggle with. While I see the reasoning behind the "girly" version, it does feel a bit forced and unnatural to me. The original concept, on the other hand, comes across as an epic, atmospheric story waiting to unfold. What's interesting is that I think the first version is still quite "girly," just in a more refined way. It seems to have a depth that could appeal to a wider audience while staying true to your vision. I think you're on the right track by going back to creating something you'd want to watch yourself. Often, that's how we end up making our best work - when it comes from a place of genuine passion and authenticity.

Hi @@HaydnRushworth-Filmmaker, thanks for the video, it was awesome. I really appreciate your honesty, it was very refreshing. Don’t let any negative comments get to you. I truly believe you will be successful. With your energy (vibration) and persistence, you will eventually find the correct frequency. It's just hard to initially build momentum without any contacts in the film industry, but once it starts, it flows…. I am a narrative filmmaker myself, currently working on a very special project that I’m super excited about, but I need AI to progress a little further forward before I can actually start production. I’m waiting for OpenAI’s Voice Engine and Sora to be released, and then BAFTA, here I come lol. Keep making KZitem videos, it’s only a matter of time before you get your break. Sky

@@HaydnRushworth-Filmmaker The little "twist" towards your backstory also caught me by surprise, but it was refreshing and interesting to see! As we all know a lot on KZitem comes across as superficial and fake these days, so kudos for that. Regarding the book's trailer, it's looking great already and I'm sure it'll only improve from here on out! AI really is a miracle tool to those with creative visions, but without the resources and budgets to achieve them. Keep it up!
