Hello John, am not brilliant on hallmarks, but on the silver ribbon the anchor is for Birmingham, and I reckon a letter T could indicate a date of around 1895. What a fantastic detecting day, with all that silver.

also depending on the shape of the T for example there is some Gothic T 1846 .. and some others as well, one scratch or impurity and all look the same.

Items and places from history are special to me for the people who walked the halls and lived in the rooms. Being able to stand where people of history stood and to touch items from their world and life are incredible. For you, to touch the coins that were handled by Roman soldiers, to walk were they walked and lived is amazing! I do not know any other way to express it.

Thanks Mr Ghost 👻 The silver just kept on coming. Having got four hits of silver between Pete and I last time out to be honest I expected a terrible day, how wrong was I! The ribbon is interesting, some saying it could be suffragette related, but either way a wonderful find among many and a great day!

Mate, I don’t know how you went to sleep knowing that field was there. I guess it’s been centuries and a couple of more days wouldn’t make a difference but I’d be detecting & sleeping in that field. That program is something else, I wear headphones and had a Deus2 so it’s like I’m actually swinging my detector. Please always allow us to hear the tones. I was paralyzed 4 years ago and can’t get out, however by the grace of God I’m learning how to walk again. Your videos fill hours of my day whilst I’m doing physical therapy. The silver mourning ribbon brooch is fantastic. I hope you can get someone to interpret the hallmarks for you. I have never seen a buckle in the middle of a mourning ribbon before and can only imagine that there must be a great story. Did the deceased love horses or was the deceased a horse himself? Intriguing! Please report back on this one when you find out more. I would love to watch an annual year in review of all the finds with the best stories: best coins, love tokens, museum⁴ reactions, oldest item for the year, best toys, most valuable finds, what ever became of the gold coin? total number of musket balls, total number of picture hangers, weirdest find, scrap weight. totals. Be sure to ready a wee dram for that long, cold winter night of editing and searching your files for images. Considering the year's slow silver start, this day and this field have been phenomenal! WELL DONE!
