are you able to more easily "pick up" the sonic puck vs the green biscuit puck? Pick up as in maybe a Michigan, or just picking up to hand the puck to a ref, or simply to pick up and play catch with up in the air with your stick...thanks

I would say so, I’ve definitely had an easier time with the sonics!

Solid assessment of both pucks. Both are great options. Sonic is great for indoor sport court. There’s certainly more drag on the outdoor smooth asphalt surfaces with Sonic. In warm weather Sonic can get a little gummy and bounce around more. But Sonic is a great choice for a traditional roller puck. The reason they aren’t talked about enough is because the major roller hockey tournament circuits have sponsorship deals with the other brands. That’s why nobody talks about Sonic as much. Shameful really. Green Biscuit is, like you say, old reliable! Probably the best off-ice pucks and they aren’t going away anytime soon. Definitely try Green Biscuit’s Roller Hockey pucks! They are a few years old now. Would love to see a review from you on those.

I know that, but I’ve had neighbors complain when playing early in the morning or late in the evening.

Sonic is the oldest of old school roller hockey pucks. They pretty much suck on rough surfaces but were the 90s roller league standard for indoor finished surfaces. Personally I think the green biscuit roller puck does everything the old sonic does and does it better. Note: if you're on rough unfinished surfaces like the tennis court or worse than the standard green biscuit is kinda the only real option. Sonic pros: very easy to Michigan and clappers come off like rockets Sonic cons: rough surfaces it will roll on you.

Thanks for your comment, I agree with most of your statement, honestly there are a ton of instances where the green biscuit is better. As you said the Sonic on rough surface is bad, real bad, but on smooth concrete like our rink I enjoy stickhandling both. But I think we can all agree that shooting the GB is the biggest downside. Replacing net after net due to the hard plastic abusing hollow metal posts, or even having pucks explode, crack, or separate while shooting.

To be honest I’ve lived in some neighborhoods where people use to get pissed because of the sound. I’m on your side I like the sound of the Green biscuit, but in some cases it’s better to have a quiet puck like at night or what not
