I live on the duamish river in Seattle next to a walking bridge. Most people that fish this bridge have all become friends, it's pretty awesome. We share lures, bait, tactics, and our catches with each other. Someone left their pole one evening and I found it. I got up early the next morning to see if anyone knew who's it was. Sure enough someone described it and I brought it to him. He was in tears because the reel that was on the pole was given to him by his fishing buddy that past away the year before. He offered me money, which I declined, then said " I at least have to give you a hug." That's the only currency I would accept.

Just nice seeing people want to help each other out. Father son spending time outside, no phones. Just memories

Fishing is the one thing I have seen bring ppl together like no other. I have met countless ppl that I would typically walk past and have great conversations with them while fishing.

Love when locals don’t act bogus and actually want to see people enjoy the sport with them. Awesome

fishermen are the nicest people in the world hands down. when i was younger i was fishing on a pier and my fishing rod got pulled in this dude jumped off the pier and grabbed my rod and swam all the way back to the entrance to give it to me it was like a mile... and i told him its okay i had another one but he said he had lost his pole here before and didnt want to see anyone eles pole get lost. we ended up taking him out to dinner and now im really good friends with him today.

That's how you treat your fellow human being, even fishermen can hang and be cool to each other. Refreshing.
