I've been riding for over 50 years. I'm a motorcyclist who happens to ride a 2017 Roadmaster. Like you, I love 'em all. While on a road trip in 2014 with my Bride on our 2006 Goldwing, we stopped at the Sturgis rally. They were having demo rides at the Indian dealership. Rode a couple of Indians. After my rides, told my Bride that I just have to have one. Sold my beloved GW and purchased a new Roadmaster as soon as the 2017 model became available. Here it's near the end of 2018, and I have 20,000 on the odometer and have ridden to the west coast and back from Michigan twice without a hiccup from the bike. Polaris/Indian, really did their homework when they recreated Indian motorcycles. And they just get better and better!

I agree, Kevin. When Harley fumbled, Indian was right there to grab the opportunity and run with it. Polaris is a billion dollar company and has brilliant marketing people. Top tier management at Harley better wake up before it's too late, shake off their ego and put their nose back to the grindstone. I wish this joint venture between Adam and Indian all the best. I also look forward to Adam comparing this new Indian to his H-D. Should be very interesting.

Great choice bro. As an Indian rider myself, and a Vietnam veteran, I can honestly say you will enjoy it. One thing the salesman did not tell you about the key fob lock button is that it not only lock/unlock the saddle bags, if you push the lock button twice rapidly, like a car it will set the ALARM. Read the manual about it along with the access code you can use in case the key fob's battery dies. You have a great philosophy about we all are Americans and we should enjoy ALL things that are made in America. Enjoy and ride safe.

Hey brother I’m super stoked to hear your thoughts on the Indian. I’m also glad to hear that an American manufacturer has stepped up and is showing the respect and pride in their brand by allowing you the freedom to move between brands. This speaks volumes about their vision as a “Motorcycle” company first and an elite brand second. The passion for the sport should always be first priority. That being said I must be doing something wrong because I’m still riding around on my 30 year old Vulcan 1500 while you’ve got 2 brand new bikes in your stable respectively lol 😂 Good for you and hope to see Ashley ride an Indian in the future! *Correction I own a M8 and in the past many other harleys including the free wheeler. I have also owned two Victory bikes the TC 92 cruiser and a Kingpin. The stage one up grade on a victory produces tremendous gains for under $900, and you know and feel the difference. The aft cylinder heat could be an issue at times, and on a Indian 111 CI I expect it could also be an issue. The only reason I sold the two Victory bikes was due to gear train noise especially in traffic. The gears and not primary chain noise on a Victory needed major improvement. I hope Polaris corrected this on the New Indians. In regard to Harley, they slapped you and all veterans in the face during your last attempt to break the record. The M 8 to me is a huge pain. If I wanted a counterbalanced engine I would have researched and bought something more refined. The M 8 lost the ride and engine feel that I bought Harley's for in the past and recently. And as Gomer Pyle use to say, surprise, surprise, my M8 sounds like a empty blender at idle, with counter balance noise. But wait, I sold two Victory motorcycles, for the same reason. ??? (had i known). So good luck on your new Indian bike, the EPA killed Victory, it was a great bike, however the Indian is what Harley should have been. 111 out of the box and no damaging stage 4 required.

@Tommy Von; Yeah, that was the icing on the cake. Kinda laid to rest all the bullshit we've been telling ourselves for years. - For a long time now (several decades) customer loyalty has come to mean shit and sadly, 'this' speaks loudly. I understand why HD would not renew their association with Adam on a 'technicality' such as not enough miles but that set aside, not to support an event targeted toward their product setting a world record is beyond comprehension. ESPECIALLY when they're already casting themselves in a bad light, is beyond me. Those who attended will go back and think about this. ... I have a '78 Sporty with AMF on the tank. Then there is the infotainment section if your into that kind of thing on a bike, no comparison since the second generation two years ago. Indian has really hit it out of the park. Not to mention their DOMINANCE at the flat track with the scout the last two years and all of that is why I now own a Springfield. Got it in July 2017 and love it. Iron sharpens Iron.

Adam, as soon as you mentioned in a previous video that HD was dropping you i was hoping that Indian would seize the opportunity! I have been looking at the Streetglide vs. the Chieften trying to make a decision between the two. Im going Chieften.

AMF did save Harley. But you left out that they haven't been a part of Harley since 81.

You are correct, but I believe his point was that AMF saved Harley similar to how Polaris has saved Indian. Hopefully, Polaris does a better job than AMF did ….. :))

@@oregonoutback7779 Polaris didn't save Indian. They bought the trademark of a defunct company. Big difference. It would be like Ford buying the Studebaker trademark. The legacy doesn't follow the trademark.

I got his point. I was just pointing out that they were no longer part of Harley.

@@sportytaco2153 how is that different than AMF buying out Harley? Indian didn't have a benefactor to rescue them and they weren't saved again by a federal tariff on Japanese imports.

@@robertmanley6102 because Harley was still operating when they were acquired by AMF. Indian died in 1953. The rights to the name have bounced from one company to another for the past 58 years, but that was all it was. A name. Hell, from 1955 to 1977 they were just rebadged Royal Enfields. Where is the legacy and heritage in that? And to be completely honest, until the latest redesign, Polaris' Indians were essentially rebadged Victorys.

I’m a Harley fan and iv got a StreetGlide but that bike is clean and if I ever got another bike i would definitely be checking one of those Indians out and as far as Indian being cool with you riding other brands and being supportive of the motorcycle culture all around is awesome and important. I got to my local Harley dealership pretty regularly for events and the whole attitude of “Harley is the only bike or it’s the best “ and some of the attitude of the people that ride them gets old and I am Harley fan and iv owned several but every time I go to look at a bike to buy 9-10 I won’t even bother with going to the dealer and when I need parts I would rather order off line or go after market just so I don’t have to deal with the workers and it tends to be that way with the attitudes at a lot of the Harley dealerships iv been to and there hurting there business for it and people don’t care any more about having the Harley name like they use to and especially with the younger people coming in and looking at bikes they will go somewhere and won’t think twice about it and the old heads that we’re buying those high priced Harley’s are dying off

Excellent move Adam. I personally sold my Harley and bought the same bike but the bronze smoke colour. Believe me, you will be blown away with the performance and beauty of this bike out of the box. The next level which I haven’t done yet because I just got my bike a couple of weeks ago is to upgrade the cam. Every time I ride this bike I feel good that I did this move. Very excited to watch more of your Indian reviews and I am sure Ashley deserves one as well , come on 😁😁😁

Adam I just have to share with you!!! 2016 I came across you on KZitem and you stoked a fire in me that was always there, but just smoldering. I read your testimony about following your DREAM. I grew up always having a love for bikes and even went to Technical Collage for Motorcycle Mechanics. While building my career I meet the women of my dreams which grew into marriage and children. I worked in a Kawasaki bike shop and built two bikes. First one I destroyed in an accident, but the second became one of the FASTEST around (GPZ 1100). There was NOTHING I couldn't make that bike do and I was a ticking time bomb for another accident. I had to give up my dream job to raise my family and also gave up the bike. Fast forward 30 years to 2016 and coming across you, kids are all out of the house with their families I started looking for a bike. My wonderful wife of 35 years said "that sounds like a good idea" and she supported me 100%. Looked at and was ready to buy 2016 Ultra Low and my brother said " You ever look at any Indians?", I didn't even know that they where making them. My nearest dealer was 120 miles away, but we jumped in and did a road trip. I FEEL IN LOVE!!!! I walked out... drove out with 2017 Roadmaster. Smooth, Powerful and Endless Torque. Thank you so much Adam for doing what you do!!! you have inspired me and motivated me to follow my dream and thank you Polaris Industries for keeping Indian Motorcycle alive. I know you will enjoy your new addition to your garage. KEEP LIVING THE DREAM

Awesome looking bike Adam, it's pretty cool to see Indian step up to to the plate with this deal, I just got home to sit down and check out this video from our state's governor's ride to raise money for the Mississippi wounded warriors project, I think we raised about 42,000 dollars today, God bless our veterans.
