I got ripped off as a kid on a used engine. The guy worked for a GMC dealership and said the engine came out of a nearly new vehicle that was in an accident. The engine did look new on the outside but what he did not tell me was a bolt went down the intake and smashed a piston and head. He knew the engine was junk and took my hard-earned money. What you did was save a kid from having a story like mine and I salute you for it.

When I was a young Boy Scout, my scoutmaster was talking to me one day about integrity. He said when he's in a quandary and deciding what to do in a difficult situation, he imagined his mother was there with him looking over his shoulder watching his actions. He figured he respected and loved his mother so much that imagining what he would do in her presence is probably the right thing to do. Today, your mother would be proud of you.

Another great video. Brother, I'm gonna be honest, I feel honest enough in saying that your probably coming into such shit customers because your way too reasonably priced. Dirtbags are calling you because your on the lower end with your labor rate, have you ever considered raising your labor rate to avoid having these bottom feeders call you for these shady jobs. I'm sure you have some great customers, but they will stick with you if you jack up your labor rate and parts markup, and it will keep all these jerkoffs that cause you grief from calling you wasting your time. Just my two cents for what it's worth. Thanks for the content.

good for you.i realise karma dont pay the bills.but shit does come back to you, for doing the right thing.i kind of wonder how many people he allready ripped off.cuz this one bit him in the ass.not only did he lose a sale, but is now out part of the repair cost.a double whammy.it serves him right for putting you on the spot.maybe some of your good deeds are starting to pay off.its not 700$ but its more than what you started with.keep your chin up bud.

I'm not a fan of repairing customers vehicle at their place. It's best they bring it to your place and it's a good idea to use liens cause some of these clients are tricky.

I would not say a word, BUT, I would silently point to the vin. on the carfax then the vin on the car and he will see it himself. Then I would tell him not to mention that you gave him the heads up. Tell the kid to tell the owner that he noticed the error himself.
