As someone else commented, use balance powder or balance beads. Come in a bag and just place inside the tire before sealing. That way you don't have worry about weights slinging off and going into someones windshield.

@@05trucker55 TST 507. They come with a monitor that you mount in your vehicle. It displays the pressure and temperature. Alarms you when it’s low.

My Hot Shot brother, you should Be Running Center, Matic wheel balancers in between your tires. Then you do not need to put weights on your rims. You should run them on every wheel and trailer on your truck plus your steering you would be surprised take it from someone who’s been doing this for 45 years.

Those are good for big wheels. I agree but for my Ram truck I think they are unnecessary. I considered them at once but at low speeds you can hear those little beads inside make noise. Maybe it would be ok for the trailer but I don’t think even semis use them on trailers.

@@Mr.AlexKogan the thing is when you balance new tires they put weights on them 200 miles down the road. Some rubber is already worn off them tires and they are not balanced anymore with the balancers. I spoke of after you go 3 miles an hour your tires are automatically balanced.

I usually pause the video to comment as we go along. As far as balancing goes my suggestion would be to go with balancing beads. My choice is COUNTER ACT brand. A certain amount of weight of them is put in each tire and they constantly balance as you drive for the life of the tire. I have them in all 7 matching tires/wheels on my F350 DRW truck. I can rotate tires anytime I want w/o having to have them re-balanced each time. IMHO a very worthwhile investment in your tires.

@@richardbarkley9909 I have heard of putting balance beads but I have also heard that they melt and clump up together. Don’t know if that’s the same with all brands but definitely wouldn’t want that to happen.

Curious Alex if you use any sort of additives in your fuel? (I have a '99 7.3 truck and use an extra lubrication additive because of the ULSD used nowadays) but recently heard that ARCHOIL makes a fuel additive that helps clean your DPF in newer Diesels-I know you've mentioned/shown that YOUR DPF has been replaced under warranty at least once. Might be worth looking into after your warranty is up. (Archoil 6500 I believe it is)

@@TruckerFred Thank you! I think around 50k is a good time to take it all apart to inspect and clean and change the hub oil. Bearings only need to be changed if they feel work or have signs of overheating.

@@richardbarkley9909 No. I wanted to add extensions but that would make it difficult to put my TPMS sensor on. I have a long pressure gauge that reaches with no issue. Sometimes airing the inner tires is tough because the outer wheel gets in the way of the inflating tool. Some truck stops have one that fits with no issue and some have the ones that the angle is off just by a bit. Annoying.

@@nomorehotshotcarhaulin4960 I keep them at around 95 psi cold. Max cold note is 110 psi but you never want to put it at max or they will heat up and blow. But it does make sense that edges may wear from low pressure.

Edges are worn because it’s not tracking straight if it’s HDSS it can be adjusted if it’s equalizer you have bad bushings

Also some tire brands are just heavy on 1 side and require more weights to balance. Thats the beauty in using the balancing beads, 1 and done for the life of the tire. They can be used in truck tires too!!

alot of times they don't balance the wheels/tires because they're technically not a driveline. they're more of a "roller". there's no driveshaft trying to spin them. I also never balance rear wheels on my cars that are rear wheel drive either. never had an issue. wheels/tires like this will always take a crazy amount of weights due to the actual weight of them.

Right in the beginning it looks to me like your trailer axles need to be aligned Alex. It looks like your tires were wearing on the outside edges.

@@richardbarkley9909 The tires seem like they wore on both outer edges. Inner and outer. But wouldn’t mind having it aligned for a peace of mind. Not all trailer places can do alignments though on air ride trailer. Not sure why.

@@richardbarkley9909 The ones that came off the trailer and the new ones are both 110max psi cold. I usually run them at 95 psi cold.

@@Mr.AlexKogan I don't think it would hurt to run them up to 100-105-might ride a little hard empty but would work better loaded. Still 160k miles is pretty good. I like your style in that you elected to replace all 8 tires at once and not fool around doing a couple at a time.

@@richardbarkley9909 Yeah I don’t like to change a few at a time. Have to do all at once to have even wear. Putting them to 105 is risky because that’s close to max cold pain of 110 that the tire allows. When I drive with a heavy load in summer it’ll heat so much that they might pop. I’ve had that happen with 10 ply tires. All semi guys say they run their trailer tires between 95-100
