Let's get it started and make the Let's Get it Charted No. 2 (which is my take on a Chartreuse-heavy lemon drop martini riff) complete with a completely unnecessary sugar rim in the form of custom Chartruese-flavored rock candy grown ON THE GLASS.
Let's Get it Charted No. 2
2 oz Faccia Brutto Centerbe (or Chartruese if you have it)
.5 oz Lemon Oleo* Syrup
.75 oz Lemon Juice
*For the Rich Lemon Oleo Syrup
2 parts Sugar (I used white sugar)
1 part lemon peels (make sure to wash your lemons well before peeling)
1 part water
My specific ratios were:
77g Lemon Peels
154g Sugar
77g Water
DIRECTIONS:
Macerate sugar and peel at room temperature overnight or until a syrup forms, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar melts (this can sit for as long as 24 hours). Add water, stir, and strain. Bottle and store in the refrigerator.
