I'm so excited to share this video. To me this isn't about medication. This is about taking a stand against perfectionism. It's heartbreaking, the way so many people feel they have to suffer in the name of "doing it the right way" or "the perfect way" or "the best way." Nobody wants you to suffer, my dear. And giving yourself the support you need to feel good and to not be miserable is a gift to you but also an incredible gift to your child. How many of us know the pain of loving a parent who was miserable? A parent who maybe had no idea how to go about loving themselves? So let's start a new parenting trend: ask for more and take up more space so our kids can do the same. Set a higher standard of joy for yourself and you will give your child an invaluable gift. We cannot give something to our child that we do not have. So let's give ourselves and them this: permission to be happy and permission to be free from the emotional prison sentence that is perfectionism. Sending love to you all. Let's be brave and ask brave questions. We each deserve the joy that comes with living an "imperfect" but oh-so fulfilling life.
xoxo
