Dead blows is a mallet with a heavy coat. I thought it was his dog, Baxter I believe the dog's name is. Lifetime guarantee means it's guaranteed as long as they are making those dead blows. I did not think of dead blows for wood work. Used them to maintain my vehicle. Used mallet for wood working.

What? No bandsaw videos? I looked through your entire video list and didn't see any bandsaw reviews or how-to's..... You are slipping brother! Okay, on a more serious side, can you recommend a good bandsaw to a fellow wood butcher?

I Will Be Doing A Bandsaw video Just Haven't Had The Time But It Will Be coming Soon There Are A Few Resawing Videos And A Bandsaw Jig videos Out there Somewhere On my Channel But As Far As A Bandsaw Recommendation I Like My Grizzly Very Much The Most important Thing Is To Figure Out What You Want To Use The Saw For. Resawing, You Need More Power More Cutting Height , Just Cutting Small Parts, And Making Little Curvy Things Less Power And Less Cutting Height, And The Most important Is How Much $$$ Do You Want To Spend. You Can Go Crazy Looking For The Best Bandsaw, I've used Al Lot Of Different Saws And They Are All Pretty Much The Same Powermatic ,Laguna, Foxshop, Jet ,Grizzly, All Have About The Same Feature And About The Same Build Quality, I Went With Grizzly Because Of The Price And The Size I Could Resaw Because That's Mainly What I Use My Bandsaw For, So If You Can Try Different Saws Out Ahead Of time That Would Be Good, Also Make Sure You Have The Proper Electrical Hook Ups For The Saw You Purchase. My Grizzly Is Single Phase 220v, Some Are 110v And Some Are 3 Phase 220v . Watch As Many You Tube Videos As You Can Of Each Brand I'm Sure 1 Will Stick Out As Something You'll Need To Have, For Me It Was Grizzly For You It Might Be Something Else, Just Do Your Homework. I Once Had A Cheap Powermatic And It Sucked, So Take your Time And Do Your Do diligence. Sorry The The Long Response. I Might Just Do A Bandsaw Video Explaining All Of These Things Soon . Hope This Was Sort OF Helpful. Thanks For Watching Have An Awesome Day !!!

@@Humboldtcraftworks Very helpful, thanks! I guess I should have stated why I want to purchase one. Just as you indicated for yourself, I want to be able to resaw lumber up to 6" in height. There seems to be a very big price difference amongst various models, and I've looked at a number of KZitem videos trying to get a sense of where to spend my money. One thing I really want with a bandsaw is the ability to move it around. My double car garage is getting pretty full with all of my woodworking stuff, so mobility is important to me. My budget is up to $1500, and if possible I'd like to limit my purchase to 110V to save on having to run 220V out to the garage.

@@Humboldtcraftworks Do you think a 1 HP, 120V bandsaw would be adequate for resawing 6" lumber? It says that it has a 8 3/4" cutting height. I see one locally for $750 but without wheels. I can get something on Amazon to make it mobile.

@@brucewilliamsstudio4932 110 V could be limiting for a resawing bandsaw like i said before I had a powermatic 110v bandsaw and hated it because it 1) didn't have enough horse power to resaw even small boards and was terrible at tracking the blade wander all over the place even when it was super tight. So you're really gonna have to do your homework. I wound up putting another hundred amp box in my shop and ran nothing but 220 V power with twist lock cables kind of expensive but I can move all my tools anywhere and plug them in because I have 220 plugs all over the shop I'll ask around to my other woodworking friends and see if they have any recommendations and I'll let you know. Thanks again Bruce for commenting and watching my videos I really appreciate it have a good night😃👍

@@brucewilliamsstudio4932 I would definitely want to try the bandsaw before I bought it I cut a lot of hardwoods which are harder to resawed and just pine do you have to take that into consideration to anybody can cut a 2 x 6 1/2 with an any bandsaw but cut a 2 x 6 of maple and takeoff a quarter inch rip you need power a large blade and something that tracks well which cost money 1500 might be good but I don't know if they make 110 bandsaw's with that kind of power
