@@martinezbiz You are too confident in your positions and your statements are based upon mountains of assumptions. The cost of living varies wildly across the country. It is entirely possible she is living below the poverty line on $83k gross depending on where she lives in the country. And that is without considering her unique circumstances which could very well be complex and nuanced. It is ok to be more humble and reserve judgement. We do not always need to be on the attack when it comes to others. We should be worried about our own lives and refrain from passing judgment on others. It is not our place or concern.

It's a whole mental thing, to pay off debt. To not use cc's unless its dire. Something is on sale and too good to be true purchase and you buy it, thinking how much you have saved. BUT training the mind to think that that purchase is just going to put you that much more into debt. To imagine the numbers in your bank account going up and the numbers of your cc balances going down...every single time you want to buy something. Its really nice when you change like that, when you look at things as a financial burden rather than a must have.

83k a year is like 6900 a month before taxes. Even if she were making 5000 a month after taxes if you do the math after bills and necessities at the bare minimum she should have at least 1000-1500 left over… poor financial management if you ask me. I have 12k in credit card debt making only 1600 a month before taxes. Granted I don’t pay the mortgage my fiancé does I still pay utilities, necessities for my daughter, minimum payment plus an extra 50-100 on my credit card payment and I have literally like $20 if I’m lucky left over. My debt feels like it’s going no where so this girl should feel lucky to make as much as she does
