Thank you so much for providing this instruction! I was attempting to dismount a pair of Vittoria Rubino Pro 28C tires from a Reserve 40/44 wheelset and could not believe I wasn't able to break the bead with my hands alone. That was extremely frustrating. I watched your video and was able to immediately break the bead and perform a needed tire change. I ended up using what was handy to break the bead: the end of a 2 foot level which has plastic coated ends. Oh yeah, thanks for the watchout on bending brake rotors..

Best tip for removing the tire! Other videos I watched did not help. My Priority 600X came with MTB ranger tires. They seemed glued to the rim. No amount of thumb pressure would release. Added the wooden block as shown, stepped on it and pulled up lightly on the rim, and off it came! Very relieved!

Thanks! I was fighting with my road tire all day yesterday. Because the road tire is smaller I followed your method, but I also put a wood block under the tire as well. Basically creating a wooden vice that stopped the tire from slipping out from under the wood as I pulled up on th rim.

Used this tip on my Reynolds’s assault road wheels. Put a longer block under in same fashion and barely had to pull up at all on the rim. This after blistering both thumbs trying to push break the bead by hand. You’re the man! Thanks!

Thank you teacher. Old school methods. I just bought a new 29 front and new WTB 2.6 Vigilante to pair my Enduro Mazza on rear for Arizona desert trails....and had fitted on my rear 29 without sealant to gently stretch while I was waiting for new rim to arrive. So. Stuck on rim. Like good suction and I didn't want to damage.... even my Mazza was thicker casing and came off cleanly? I resigned to just keep it on a rear and injected Orange sealant and so fitted my Mazza on b the front new rim. Until I saw your video. So simple and so grateful. Thanks. PS: btw... it also worked first time without huge effort too !!

Yep, tried all the other ways on my gravel bike tires. Worked like a champ. Hope I never have to do this on the side of the trail. And tell me why some new bikes come with un-removable valve cores- kinda would have been happy running tubes with stans for a bit to see if I like the tires. Thanks again my friend.
@BikeTeacher

Your welcome. The ones that come with removable cores could be old stock. It all depends on the tube manufacturer. I see more and more and more available today. If you’re talking about the tubeless valves not having removable cores. Those would be rare.

Some tires are more cooperative than others. Some may set themselves with just a floor pump. Others may need an air compressor. It can be a little tricky. If you are on my channel, search tubeless tires.

My worst combo of rim + tire is 650 Hope rims & Nano Wtb 2.1 x27.5 . Really can't go alone in the woods . Impossible to unstick bead each side . I wish there was a product or permanent grease that won't dry out and that would be there for the next puncture . Dish soap will dry & I suspect it's making next removal worst .
