Being a pro or amateur in boxing is just a choice, some boxers stayed and retired in the amateur scene coz they chased the Olympics, most boxers good or worse wanted to make a living on the sport so they go pro immediately.

You don’t need amateur fights to go pro. You literally pay for a medical and a professional license. Anyone can do it, if you’re able to pass a medical that is. I’ve really found skill levels are all over the place in boxing. I’ve seen Amaetur’s that can run laps around pros and pros that can do the same to both. Also pro fights premade with people with an obvious skill gap so records can be fluffed up too. It’s such a flip of a coin in boxing if someone actually matches their “experience”. I was surprised this guy kept head hunting as you bent way over and your liver on both sides were wide open. At least y’all worked things out at the end of the day.
