James from the UK will feel dizzy when running in Kunming. Because Kunming is 1,892 meters above sea level, he will be a bit hypoxic and cannot exercise strenuously. That EKATERINA will definitely not adapt to Kunming when she first comes to Kunming. You need to explain to her that it will take time to adapt. But Kunming is particularly comfortable and warm as spring in winter. It is a famous "Spring City" in China.I think the biggest culture shock was drinking hot water, which is especially practical in the winter to improve digestion. Drinking milk tea in summer is very popular among girls. Old people like to spit, while young people are more civilized. There is no perfect country in the world. If another 50 years pass, the quality of Chinese people will be getting higher and higher.

As a Chinese living in Beijing, I am very happy that so many foreigners want to learn Chinese. Regarding the issue of spitting, it is indeed a problem, especially for some elderly people, their habits are difficult to change. Sorry for that

The reason for James from UK to get headache when running in Kunming City is probably due to the high altitude where the oxygen percentage is lower than lower altitude area.

@@andreakubicki258 That'll end up with Millions of Grandma's & Grandpa's in jail when they ignore the monetary fine for the 20th time. And 2ndly this elderly generation in not like "Any" elderly in world or Chinese history even, it's the generation that was born during Early PRC history, meaning they don't give a hoot, they have lived their lives and overcome severe hardships & seen dramatic changes, some law isn't going to stop them from doing what was/has been normal to them since childhood (that on top of being Old people doing whatever they want to do, this is the case world over). Legal solutions have a level/gradient/amount to how well they can target a problem. This is one of those situations where it's a Legal solution that will only work on the younger generational cohort of Chinese population, Not the older folk of the generation mentioned above.

The altitude of the center of Kunming is about 1,892 meters, and the highest altitude in the entire Kunming city is 4,223 meters. Therefore, it is normal for the British man to feel uncomfortable while running. His body has not yet adapted to the plateau air.

Congratulations! I’m surprised that a training class was held in Kunming. Is your husband from Kunming? The most difficult thing about Chinese is the tones, the same pronunciation but different characters. These are quite difficult. It is also considered the most difficult language in the world by the United Nations. But once they learn basic communication, it is equivalent to opening a door to Eastern culture.China has five thousand years of history and culture and has its own language. Chinese is now one of the six languages of the United Nations. China is also one of the five permanent members of the United Nations. Chinese is currently the most difficult language in the world. Many Chinese people will never go abroad in their lives, so it is normal not to speak English. Nowadays only young people speak a little English. Some of these students are too old. They can start from the most basic communication in life, such as buying things and asking for directions. There are a few young students who can learn more deeply. Especially students who want to live in China for a long time can deepen their studies.wish them success!

Nika from Russia mentioned toilet paper issue that used to be the case because 15 or 20 years ago, China was just starting to modernize their urban infrastructure, so their sewage system and their toilet paper were not quite up to standard quality. Because if those poor-quality toilet papers are disposed into the toilet directly, the toilet bowl could be jammed. BUT, that is no longer the case; now-a-days, it is advised that all toilet papers should be disposed into the toilet because their sewage system pipes are modernized and their toilet paper quality is up to the international standard now. Most people are still sticking to their old habit of not disposing their toilet papers into the toilet bowl, but people should stay up-to-date with the modern China sewage system and throw their toilet papers into the toilet after use, it is more sanitary for the environment these days.

Please allow me to clarify one thing, the gentlemand, James UK, he said he felt bother about the air quality because everytime after he exercise or running, he felt headache, I would like to say that it's because of high altitude in Kunming, not because of bad air quality, Kuming has no industry, so James doesn't have to worry about the air quality, what he should worry about is that he had better to get used to the high altitude over there.

I am sorry for you, you fell into the education trap. The name keats cannot be a local establishment. If you trying to learn Chinese spoken it is not that hard, it is the written language and reading that is hard. This because Chinese has no grammer. And the structure is very simple. Not like japanese you need different forms, Chinese is acceptable in all forms, because Chinese dont believe in classes, everyone is equal in standing. Only those poisoned by western culture think they are above others. But Chinese understand we all eventually die, when we die what we have are the deeds or evil that we sowed, anything materialistic you cannot bring with you. So heed well, my fellow human being.
