I will update this description more soon, but here’s my statement from yesterday..
“I attended the Oregon Eclipse festival in 2017… That experience was life-changing for me and many many many other people. For Texas eclipse , I expected a similar experience as did everyone else and most people I’ve spoken to feel like they were robbed of that experience. When I went to the festival my intention was to film a documentary to promote what an awesome spiritual thing that it is and then to GIFT it to the festival organizers to promote for the next one. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars to make this happen and drove over 60 hours. In my group I was the only one with previous festival experience. Everyone else who came with me to this … was going to their first festival. I really hyped this up to my friends telling them it would be a life-changing, spiritual event. What we saw unfortunately was nothing short of a soulless cash grab. On the last day when they kicked everyone out, I walked around and started interviewing people… Originally I was just gonna make my own documentary of our own experience showcasing the footage of the performances, and the b-real footage of me and my friends having fun… But after everyone was kicked out, and I started walking around interviewing people, I began to realize the actual sentiment of this festival… I met so many people who were heartbroken over what had occurred… The deeper I dug, the more issues, exposed themselves to me.. by the end of Monday I was so pissed off by everything I had seen. I basically made up my mind that the gloves are off. Before the festival I made a fake press pass just in case anyone messed with me about my camera. Monday night I walked around the festival with my fake press pass and got through every single security checkpoint with a bag big enough to carry a rifle inside of it. my wristband was never checked. My bag was never checked… And if I was a terrorist, I could’ve shot the place up. The lack of effective security, the lack of medical, the lack of consistent water supply, the lack of addressing the issue with watering the dusty roads. I have interviewed multiple people who had asthma attacks because of it. ADA camping was placed in an impossible to navigate area for disabled people. (Literally up a giant fucking hill) This also affected me as I am disabled. This event was a shit show, and the intentions of all who attended were pure. In my documentary, I intend to show the strength of our community, the purity of the hearts and minds, and souls of the individuals of our community and to showcase and expose the massive betrayal against us by the organizers of this festival. From everything I’ve been able to gather so far this was Disco Donnie’s fault and not symbiosis’s fault. But I still have a lot of staff interviews to do to get to the bottom of who’s really to blame for this. “
Sincerely
