A dielectric is an insulator, which by its definition a metal can't be assuming STP

I don’t like to criticize, when I don’t know, but, would Teflon tape work in this situation?

One word, electrolysis. Eventually this will rust the threads and therefore completely ruin the structural integrity of the pipe

Maybe building a bunch of light stands. I did, I scrounged up a bunch of black pipe and fittings and made a bunch of worklight stands. Who knows what this guy is making.

Oh I know, to confront the galvanic effect we will replace the wire with something non-conductive and pretty much chemically neutral, it will also not require that cut... fuck I reinvented the sealing thread, how neat.

From what I see they cut right into the thread and If I remember correctly copper can’t be placed with just any metal or it’ll cause electrolysis. Eventually rotting hole into the combined metals.
