So many are commenting as though they didn't watch the video. He had no idea the bag of bullets was in that particular bag. His wife was reaching the checked baggage weight with her luggage so he grabbed that bag and tossed a few things into it for carryon. He travels a lot and he's a deer hunter. He has zero memory of putting the bag of bullets in that piece of luggage. You all are commenting like he did it on purpose, with intent.

I have a lot of empathy but Im not handing out any sympathy on this one. Damn sure aint handing over any money. As a traveler, I do check & double-check & scrutinize every little detail of the country Im going to. For this EXACT reason. The punishment sucks, sure, but without strict measures then they have to either spend a lot more money increasing employees in all the agencies these people have dealt with in order to address all the "accidents" from travelers getting careless, OR the folks who work in those positions get careless and end up letting people slide who do have ill intent. It's a simple math problem for their government and this is the solution.

😢 ~ I feel sad for them. But I do wish I knew if he was the kind of guy that says ignorance of the law is no excuse“ and stuff about how people should be more responsible and “the law is what the law is“. Some people have no empathy until it happens to them. So I don’t know if this couple was like that or if they were in the middle or they were very empathetic for people all the time. I just wish I knew.d I dont want to stereotype but most from Oklahoma are not usually the empathetic type.g

I will point out the comment section of all these videos is much harder on this couple than I thought. My reaction was one of deep sympathy for them. And then thinking that the lot was too strict. But so many people are criticizing them for being irresponsible. I actually don’t think is that irresponsible. I don’t think bullets are a big issue. And mistakes of all kinds happen in life. But like I said, I wish I knew what this couple was like when other people make mistakes and how they are politically. Maybe I shouldn’t use the word politically, but often times people have certain political persuasions are less empathetic and more “law and order“ (supposedly, depending on who it is that they want held accountable).

I want to know people outside of Okla., what are their political breakdowns. Obviously I will never know that, but I wish I did. It’d would be interesting.
