Restaurant style paneer butter masala and butter naan with secret tips
Paneer butter masala:
Creamy Restaurant style Paneer Butter Masala is easy to make at home.paneer butter masla has acreamytomato-based sauce has a rich curry made with butter, cashews and cream pairs well with butter naan or any falvored rice
Ingredients:
Butter - 2 tbsp
Cumin powder - 1 tbsp
Onions - 2nos big
Tomatos - 4nos small m finely chopped
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1tbsp
Corriander powder- 1tbsp
Cashews- 8 to 10 nos
Kashmiri or bediga mirchi- 2 to 3 nos.
Cardamoms-2 to 3 nos
Cloves-2 nos
Staranise- 1
Salt as required
Paneer - 200 grams cubed
Fresh Cream - ½ cup
Kasuri Methi Leaves - 2 tblsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tblsp chopped finely
Instructions:
1.Take a pan add roughly chopped onions, cashews, kashmiri chillies and water bring them to boil. Strain the water(keep a side you can use the water in gravy) cool it and grind the mixture in to fine paste.
2.Heat broad kadai add oil, spices (cardamom,staranise & cloves) next add onions, turmeric,saute till golden. Next, add tomatoes finely chopped and cover with lid cook on low flame.
3.Next add grinded cashew onion paste and mix well cook till oil separates.(as shown in the video)
4.Add all spice powders salt,chilli powder, corriander & garam masala mix well.add paneer cubes and water. (As shown in the video) Cover and cook for till the oil separates.
4.Lastly you can add cumin powder and roasted kasuri methi leaves(as shown in the video)mix well and switch off the flame add fresh cream & coriander leaves.
Now paneer butter masala is ready. Serve hot with roti or butter naan.
Buter Naan(without yeast)
Butter naan is everyones favorite and it is my simpler version of homemade recipe of butter naan. For this Butter Naan which does not require tandoor to cook it. It is simpler and healthier version of mine. traditional recipe is made with all-purpose flour. In this recipe i used whole wheat flour(goduma pindi) or atta to make soft naans.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour- 2cups
Maida-1/2cup
Sugar powder-1. 5 tbsp
Curd- 6 tbsp
Salt- a pinch
Baking soda-1/4 tbsp
Oil- 1 tbsp
Water - as required to knead dough
1.Take a broad plate add wheat flour, maida, sugar, curd, salt, baking soda,oil water mix everything and begin to knead to a smooth, soft dough. (as shown in the video)
2.Cover and allow the dough to leave for about 25 to 30mints
3. After 20 mints divide the dough in medium sized balls
4. Take a dough ball and lightly dust it with flour. Roll it like small chapati and apply ghee and fold like ball (as shown in the video).again roll it small naan(naan should be medium thickness) can sprinkle some kalonji seeds & coriander leaves and then roll it.(as shown in the video)
5. On a hot tawa or skillet, place the naan or bread. You will see air pockets appearing. Keep the heat to medium-high. When the naan base is partly cooked, turn over and let the second side get cooked.
6. Next apply butter on both sides and place the naans in food wrap
Serve soft Butter Naan with paneer butter masala curry or your choice of curry and enjoy home made butter naans with wheat flour.
