Sir. When you put your outboard motor on with the screws, you should add a short lanyard to tie it to the boat also. Those screws often work loose, and then the motor can be knocked off the back , and it will go to the bottom. If you look just below the screws on the shaft housing, you will find a strong small ring on the side of the motor, this is for a lanyard.

@@AjaxaxxessI am most of a hundred years old. I remember when almost NO ONE had them, and then Johnston Seagulls were the gold standard !. And I have lost two from the screws unwinding when some kid or grand kid was told to take the motor down onto the boat, and didn't tighten it up properly and didn't put the lanyard on. And known many people drop their outboard when they came into a beach or estuary and ran it on a sandbank "pop" it bounces up in the air and is gone to the bottom. You usually get it back at low tide then though. I was even diving for crayfish with some brothers who had tanks, and in one morning they found two motors !. One really good one, one that was trashed. Once you used to be able to strip down and clean a motor you found on the bottom, I knew of people doing that to really quite valuable motors that they took off the bottom. I imagine now, you wouldn't be able to repair a modern one.

Plus your tent was floating on water, which i believe that'd cut down the chances of getting insects or snakes even, wandering inside of your home sweet home there 😅 That was just such a sweet spot to camp and cook your food without any worry of the outside world and not to mention that you secured a decent roof on top of your head there, so you were all set and safe hehe..* 😇🤗

Here in Canada there are many mountain lakes that have houseboats for rent and you have all the benefits of a house but on a boat. They're especially prevalent in our Western most Province of British Columbia, there are a lot of houseboats for rent on the Shuswap Lake in the Kelowna valley. That is considered the hottest part of Canada and there are LOTs of fruit orchards there and Vinyards for the making of Wine. But I totally understand your setup there, it's cheap, and it breaks down easy into tiny parts that are manageable/ A lot less expensive than renting a houseboat for a weekend, that is for sure! I really enjoyed your Shenanigans on your makeshift fishing trip. Looking forward to more videos from you!

I absolutely love how kitted and ready you are for everything along your expedition. The cooking lessons throughout the journey was also very interesting to watch and learn from! You know the trick to put the string through the gills of the fish. Otherwise you end up catching the same fish again if you release it, but also you don't want to kill the fish until you are stopped and ready to eat it. This is the biggest mistake of salt water fishermen fishing in fresh water? They don't understand that when you kill the fish if you don't cook and eat it straight away; the fish tastes like river mud. You are a wise freshwater fisherman. I really enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing

A very interesting episode. It was great to see how you construct the base of your home made raft by using small lengths of rope to secure horizontal poles to the small boat and the kayak 🛶. You have good boy Scout knot tying skills. Do you ever secure the two boards to the poles on the base of the raft? Particularly as you use one of the boards as the surface to support the sleeping cot which then supports and is attached to the tent🎪. Many thanks for sharing 🙏your experience.
