5 times for my wife and I . Twice with the full Ochestra. The small venue of the Paul Masson winery in California back in 2001 I consider my Favorite and the best concert of maybe 50 I've been to by all other bands to include the 5 for Tom Petty. I still have the jersey I bought then ( doesn't fit any more ). a fan since 1973.

I too was amazed the first time I heard this song, unforgettable! But I think the most amazing thing is that Justin Hayward the singer guitar player there wrote this when he was only 19! I'm fairly sure the girl he wrote this song about ended up with him! I mean why not?? I think he loves her! If you like this song which from what I've seen I think you just might, you should try the song "Tuesday Afternoon" from them, another brilliant sounding song!!

Great Reaction, and review. This is a song you listen to laying down in your bed, with the lights turned off, and they will take your soul to some other place and time. Then the Symphony comes in, and they take you into the Kingdom. I first heard this song in 1971, in my room, on my huge stereo system, and was blown away, by the album Days of Future Pass.

Listen to the studio version, (released in 1967!) if you really want to be amazed..At the end, a poem follows called "Late Lament" that isn't technically a part of this song, (though I always thought was, because it seems to fit so perfectly) It's absolutely beautiful, and brings the song to another level..They also have a ton of other great songs...And, I highly recommend an album put out by the two guys you see up front here. The singer/guitarist Justin Hayward, and John Lodge (bassist) called "Blue Jays." They recorded it while the band was on a break, in 1975..Fantastic album!..Imo as good as any album they recorded with the band.

I bought there first album on LP when it first came out. And every one since. Saw them live at Indianapolis, not sure of the year now, but can look it up. Just almost as good then though a rain and windstorm at this outdoor theater messed with us and we all had to take cover for a bit. They came back of and did a great job. Then about 25 years ago, I converted all my CDs (bought them too) to MP3, and they are on my phone, PC, in my car, etc. I never get over this great music. Also a fan of Dire Straits (Mark Knopfler), Santana, and more.

Yes they are that good. The orchestra in this video makes it perfect.... Keep in mind this band has been around since 1964.. You were a sparkle in your parents eyes back then. It warms my heart to see you enjoying them... Remember the line - "Some try to tell me thoughts they cannot defend." "Just what you want to be, you will be in the end!" Words of wisdom!
