After an enforced break from putting up content due to a distinct lack of broadband, I'm BA&CK on the Aire & Calder Canal Match Fishing with the Yorkshire Bandits on the Rawcliffe Narrows.
This is Round 7 of the 2022 club league and I was hoping for a better draw but as has often been the case this year, I pulled out a peg in the middle of the length therefore if I was going to lift myself up the league I'd need to be on top of my game.
The plan of attack is fairly standard for this canal - get some groundbait and feed on the long pole line down the track and then go out feeder fishing for skimmers around 3/4 across for the first half an hour or so and try and snare a bream or two. A short perch line on top of the shelf loose fed with worm/maggot would be the 3rd line.
Can I improve my league position after the disastrous start to the club season at Lindholme Lakes, (not filmed), and an early finish at Aston Park due to a pole breakage? Watch on to find out..
