I am an RN. I am certain that every time we heal from an infection, our immune system has made antibodies to fight that infection. As far as how bacteria and viruses mutate and vary in strength and virility over time..... Who knows how the previous antibodies are able or not able to protect an individual: I can't say.

Hi, Jeannie! So relieved to hear you’re all better. I had covid on New Year’s Eve of 2020. My family found me unresponsive. I was in ICU for 20 days. It was terrible. I was told I wasn’t going to make it, but God had other plans. It hit me hard, too. Covid positive w/double pneumonia, kidney failure, sepsis, and a heart attack. Lying in the hospital bed, I saw my mother and grandmother sitting beside my bed for a few brief moments. They had both passed away. Like you, I didn’t feel fear. Just peace. Although recovery was long and painful. It took 5 months to walk again. Yet still, I am blessed. And thankfully, so are you. Love your voice and videos. Thank you for your time. ♥️🌹🕊🫶🏼

From a nurse at a research hospital: good news is yes, you get antibodies in the aftermath of a viral infection. The bad news is that the active level of protection doesn't last very long; some evidence suggests it may only last for a matter of months or even just weeks, which is why we're still reliant on boosters. Our "inactive"/ latent immunity is still better than the zero amount we all had two years ago, but it just doesn't maintain an ideal level for very long which is why we are at risk for getting it multiple times.

I’m glad you’re strong enough to be back and interact with us! 😊 Take your time though! That virus is a bishhh! 😢 I felt like a truck hit me although being vaccinated for 3 times with 2 different vaccines, but I’m glad I got the vaccination before, otherwise idk how bad it would’ve gotten. An infection can be counted as a shot and you’re advised to wait an x amount of time before getting another shot (if any!). I think this is up to a doctor to decide though - and up to you of course. Anyway! Glad you’re back!

Sometimes I feel lonely, scared, lost for not knowing the if the steps I take are the right ones of if I should push harder when part of me says i must rest, if I should keep going even when I cry for my mind is feeling exhausted. I just needed someone to say " Take one day at time. Things will be alright". You never know when you'll say something that will help someone across the globe. And you helped me today. I cried for I felt hugged and safe, cradled by your tender words, like a caring mum that soothes a scared and crying child. Thank you for doing your videos Jeannie. And heck - mistakes happen. We learn from them and move on. Don’t be afraid of them. Keep focusing on the good around your - wherever you can find it. And it’s ok if some days you can’t….it’ll be there soon enough. You will be alright. I’m sending you a big hug, my dear! Thank you for touching my heart with your words. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Nurse here. We’re seeing the antibodies from a covid infection last about 60-90 days. They seem to fade at that point and reinfection can happen. It’s like any respiratory virus. So glad to see you back Jeannie. Sorry to hear what you went through 😢 I had it about 8 months ago, and it was a horrific experience; it took me out of my own body in a way that made me feel so powerless and helpless. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I had a week-long fever that turned on a dime between boiling and freezing, a raging cough, and many hallucinations/delusions/nightmares. But I think the worst part of it was that I couldn't even enjoy the taste of a cup of tea; normally one of my biggest comforts. It tasted awful for some reason. Anyway, best wishes for good health to you and your family, hope none of you ever get it again! ❤

I don’t get out much so the internet is pretty much my window to the crazy world. I haven’t watched television since the NBC peacock got retired as my attention span is so fragmented. L like your stories and their honesty and innocence they Cary. I too liked the Partridge Family and even had their lunchbox in school. Sorry to hear you caught that horrible virus. When you said your hubby got it first, I figured only a matter of time for you too. I’m glad you finally found your teacup! I was wondering if that riddle would get solved. It did. I look forward to your videos and your humor that you put into your stories in each one. As long as you make them will keep me watching them. Thank you for sharing your life with the rest of us. Other than doctors, you’re the only other person in my age group that I get to listen to. I live with my oldest son who takes care of me now and we have a great relationship but he doesn’t relate to my generation, which is understandable. Finding other folks like you is just nice to listen to. For me, it’s like having a visitor who does all the talking and that suits me just fine. Every time I open my mouth, my foot goes in! Until your next show, keep the faith, we all enjoy you very much and again, thank you for sharing your world with all of us.

Great you’re feeling better!!! Usual trend is around six months immunity and it’s not as bad if you get it again later on. …As long as the virus doesn’t mutate into something different again. 😅 Had the first wave and Omnicrom. First time I was sick for over a month but was slightly more bearable at it’s worst. Second time I caught it, the worst hit like a truck, but felt mostly normal after a week and a half. So I’d say the first strain went on longer, but the second went harder. Guess it varies person to person too though.

My active drinking days have been over for 23 years. I drank as a way to cope with anxiety, social awkwardness, insecurity and immense trauma. I did it with the help of others one day at a time. All I had to do was not drink 24 hours at a time. And once I was sober, I began to heal through all my heartaches and traumas, and gained hope and strength slowly and steadily. Remember: one day at a time, I can release the wreckage of the past, and break the chains that bind me.

What lovely words. I didn't realize you had been ill with Covid - so glad you're feeling better but don't over do it too soon. I have three friends who ended up with pleurisy and bronchitis from it! My takeaways are " Be a survivor...because you CAN!" and "I'm an optimist, because it beats the alternative!". Very astute. And I loved "I'm gonna make myself SICK!" 🤣Hilarious. As an aside, my father nearly died of pneumonia over 50 years ago and he said he had a vision of death, who was dressed like and Edwardian waiter! Might have been your guy...Stay well.

So glad you are feeling better and that mug of tea has been found. I thought of you yesterday whilst out walking along our local canal. I saw the loveliest narrow boat and painted beautifully on the side was its name Jeannie. I wanted to take a pic but the owner was home and I didn't want to intrude but what a great name ❤️

I have had COVID-19. I can empathize with you and can tell you that I never want it again. I'm so glad you found your cup of tea! I've been there, Jeannie. I have misplaced things and it has taken me forever to find them. Now that I'm in my 50s, I think it's getting worse. LOL Take care and thank you for providing some of the best ASMR content on KZitem!!!

Jeannie, welcome back from Planet Covid. I remember in a previous video you said your husband had caught it and I thought " uh oh - be careful Jeannie" having caught it myself a month ago from my husband but didn't test positive for 5 days.... I was hoping to get away with it isolating in different rooms! Yes, it's pretty rough and that fatigue and coughing was awful. Plenty of water and paracetamol every 4 hours (like your Tylenol I think) got me through. But as you mentioned we are so lucky to have got through the first 2 years when it was much worse without having it. It's so good to have you back and listen to the your delightful calm and soothing voice and to know the missing tea cup has been found. Love and hugs from England. x

Hi Jeannie! I didn't know about you contracting Covid. I am so happy that you've recovered well. Please make sure to rest and treat yourself with much TLC (as in eating plenty of those chocolates) until you're 100% strong again. I continue to isolate and mask due to sporadic outbreaks here in PA. I've taken the pandemic seriously from the start since losing my cousin to it in April 2020. Sending healing vibes your way 💗
