Carrots without the greens will keep much longer in the fridge because than the greens don't pull out moisture from the carrots. That's the reason I never buy carrots in bunches. I always buy the bags. Even when I grow them myself, I never leave the leaves on when I harvest them.

Have you tried sticky traps and having a look with a jewelers loop? It makes it hard to fix a prob if you can't put your finger on it. I find Bio-Force bugs work well if you get them on early. Silica & inoculating leaf and soil with goodies. Seacliff organics are very mindful of where & what they source

The holes in your turnip leaves is flea beetle damage. They are really hard working little critters. They also attack stocks, as they belong to the same family!

I think I saw aphids on there. I always plant flowers in between my veggies. Mariegolds and nasturtium are very good. they attract the aphids away from plants. I even have strawberries (I'm allergic) in there to attract the slugs away from my veggies. Using good insects to hunt down the bad onces is also helpfull.

@@georgiadegroen the nasturtium are also very great (and you can eat them also, the seeds make capers)

@@georgiadegroensome herbs can also deter some bugs as well. Capsaicin & herbs can be extracted or just food processed and sprayed on plants to keep the bugs off. No with holding, completely safe

Hey, I hear you regarding 'swiss cheese' I've had an 8m bed of pak choi un sellable too and discovered tiny tiny slugs, all over!! I think it's been the wet weather, same probs here down on 'wet coast' even like you say with bugnet on! Keep planting, is what our mentors usually say aye. 💐
