Spent over 6 years getting good at guitar and twice that getting good at video games and in the end I'm just a nobody. The sad truth is that no one cares about the things in your life more than you do. So for example, when I was in the beginner stages of learning guitar my friends and parents were so excited and that excitement rubbed off on me which kept me going. But now that I'm pretty good and have been really good for some time, spent some time in a band, no one cares anymore. And that's kind of making me feel like I wasted 6 years of my life for nothing. Also even if you do get really good at something, there is always someone who is better at it than you so for me, it just leaves me with this feeling of why even try and get good at anything if ultimately no one will care and even if they do, there will be another person out there who's better than you.

Your dopamine levels is out of wack. I went over this Daniel. Rather it's too much porn. Or constantly scrolling social media. There is something you doing that constantly making you feel less bored. Now you numb to it all. You gotta go monk mode. Go camping. Detox from your phone and laptop. Get a job. I had depression when I dropped out of school bad. Had no activity. So go hiking. Or any form of cardio 1 hour a day. Take time out of your day to do something boring. Work is boring. So when I get home after 8 hours, I appreciate things. I'm often too tired to play my game. So I either get a better diet, take a caffeine pill at lunch. Get more sleep. Then I'm enjoying my game again. Sometimes I take a break from games. I force myself to stay off KZitem sometimes. I watch boring stuff out of habit of being into KZitem all the time. I force myself to try new movies. At least watch 10 minutes and see if anything grabs me. But if I was home all the time, of course I would be bored. There is only so much enjoyment you can handle.

I once thought sleep/diet/exercise were overblown as mood enhancers - turns out the doctors and scientists weren't lying, they make all the difference for me. Obviously if you have something like depression, there could be deeper issues at play. But getting 20 mins per day of intense-ish exercise (6 days per week) and 7-8 hours of sleep every night is worth a shot, to put it mildly. Again, I understand if you're skeptical. I was too, for years and years. And I know it's easier said than done. But I just can't think of a reason not to try.

I used to get bored as a kid. I thought boredom is more of a kids thing, I don't think I've ever heard an adult complaining about that. My best guess is that aside from your social struggles, you've had a fairly cushy life. Adversity has never really been imposed on you for very long. You could always easily evade or minimize it. Your KZitem stuff only further enabled you to comfortably coast through existence, so it was a blessing while being a kind of curse. Some people naturally have a rich inner-world, and enjoy thinking deeply about things. Why don't you work on that. Find people online who are discussing philosophy and politics. And then start posting videos about your views about a wide range of things, no matter how informed or ill-informed they are. You could flirt with edgy stuff while never fully committing to it. Surely you'll piss some more people off and then maybe that'll grow your channel some more.
@DanielK1213th

Daniel is kind of a selfish sociopath so I don’t think he would get very deep into philosophy. He does what he wants for himself and if someone gets hurt because of that, he doesn’t care. That’s his main philosophy. He also doesn’t care about politics that much. He can be an edgy right wing politics guy but then again, he doesn’t care all that much. Politics usually require that you care about other people or pretend to care because it deals with many social issues. Again, he lacks empathy or motivation to even pretend.

Daniel, the easiest things for entertainment is conversation, and eating. To make something more exciting is to make it into a challenge or competition. Make an eating game with your girlfriend. Take turn spinning a wheel, or picking a card out of a deck of card, and the looser eats something they don’t like. Like chicken livers and chicken hearts. Then describes how awful it tastes, or maybe it’s not as bad as you think. Also don’t paint or draw endlessly. Limit yourself to an hour a day, and three hours a week. And switch it up with other hobbies. Imagine eating cup noodles all day long, every day. It will get old quickly. Go to the food court once a week and try something new, and do a review on the food. If your videos makes less, then make many and many of them. If you don’t then you are dead broke. If you never try new food, then you will never find new things that are delicious to you. Start with Jack fruits. Good luck.
