I did not attach much importance to my old and beloved cast-iron skillet, that she has a long-term, old-fashioned carbon deposit from fat. And one day an idea occurred to me, or rather I had to reconsider my dishes, since it did not fit my induction stove, except for a cast-iron frying pan. It’s a pity to throw it away, but I will give my pans to my sister, but first, they need to be brought into a divine form. And so, I decided to “rummage around” on the Internet, and look for how to clean the pan of old carbon deposits, and of course the world is not without good people, having reviewed many tips and videos, I chose one suitable advice for me. I will clean the pans with ammonia, since it is not in short supply, and you can buy it in specialized stores, though it is smelly contagious, so buy a respirator and rubber gloves in addition. And what came of it, see my version of how to clean a cast-iron skillet at home from old soot using ammonia. Of course, I will not give away the cast-iron frying pan, and of course I will maintain it in the proper form in the future, especially since this is a rarity for 1 ruble 25 kopecks, these were the prices for high-quality cookware in Soviet times.
