Great video! I live in upper NWDC close to national cathedral and AU campus. While this Ward had the lowest Covid-19 incidents, it still isn't immune to crime. Like you mentioned in a comment, "safe" is subjective". Never thought i would live in DC. Always considered it, Death Capital growing up. October makes 8 years. I love love love my apartment building, the 3 mile radius/walking paved sidewalks / the landscaping, trees, the air even. National Cathedral was built at it's location because highest point in DC. (Well, Fort in Tenleytown 1 mile north, official highest). It's not the cheapest part of the city, but with everything included in the rent (gas, electric, trash, water) it has been affordable and manageable. 🥰😍🤩

Great video. Also, we pronounce Hecht’s as Heck’s. It’s the name of a longtime and well loved local department store. Welcome to DC! Good luck with your doctoral studies.

I lived at Avec for 2 days before terminating my lease. Concierge wasn't that bad when I lived there, but that part of H St is sketchy and so loud all the time. And the windows at the apartment didn't block any sound

Hello everyone, I loathe having to be the difficult viewer. However, I loved this song so much but couldn't figure out what it's called or whom the artist is. It played around the 5min mark and also played towards and through the very end. He kept singing, "I thought about it!" He has a beautiful voice and I love the melody. Thank you very much for the review. It was amazing and honest. Moving here isn't for the weak. So it's extremely helpful. Especially for single people. God bless. 🙌🙌💖💖 Please keep us updated on your move. I'm subscribed.

hi sugar! the song is around the five minute mark of this playlist i use for my background music: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mY93n6eLqqtll4Y&ab_channel=NishaNala I tried looking up the song but it seems like it's freebie lyrics and many people sing over them. I couldn't find the person who sang in the clip, but found someone named Dvme the Artist who sings the song almost like it, his version is named "Deep end". I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help! Thank you so much for your kind words about my video! I am dropping new apartment content soon so stay tuned :D God bless, Kay!

Omg! Please keep doing these moving videos! Just finished grad school and found a job in the area. Pay isn't much, so definitely taking a year to save some money before trying to venture and find an affordable studio apartment in DC. Would love to follow your journey in your final place and furnishing! Need some ideas/suggestions so when its my turn I'm not completely directionless! lol

Only 2 words to say about the H st corridor, Katherine Fuller. Maybe not a fair comment but the history still exists. Although family did live in the neighborhood forever without issue, i prefer the suburban apartments.

Ok one thing I want people to get straight dc not the only place that’s “a lot going on or not safe” if you gona think like that then think of DC as all of the dc is not safe lol it’s old at this point I feel even good areas have a lot going on so idk how ppl think it’s on one side or one street it’s jy like all over unless you way out Maryland lol even stuff happens out there.
@kaytribeca

@@jackiej2551 i agree.. which is why i said “safety is subjective” and reassured my audience by stating my home city NEW YORK which is ALSO categorized as being super super dangerous! stuff happens everywhere in the US, DC is relatively lovely to me and i love it.
