Unless something really unexpectedly positive happens out of nowhere, we are gonna be super power really soon, and it's probably gonna suck for a good while until we can implement the policies to dig ourselves out of the hole we've dug for ourselves, and that's assuming we can purge the establishment from power any time and replace them with people who get it and have a mind to be responsible and ethical representatives any time soon (as far as I'm concerned, the MAGA/America First side is the only side in our political landscape right now that has even the slightest inclination to do some of the things that need doing, because the "progressives" are off in la-la land, and the Rep and Dem establishments are actively trying to screw everybody)

This is a GREAT song that I heard on a southern AM Station skipping into NYC in 1954 or 55. But I'm sure it was written and recorded at the height of the (very justified) federal hearings on the USCP and the espionage which had occured. And the federal investigations STARTED in 1947 WAY before McCarthy folks. Several artists did this song because of its Gras roots popularity. Sure, editors and "reviewers" at Billbord and other New Yor based publication may not have liked it. I See, guys at the SOURCE of the threat panned it so that makes what it says invalid? This song reminds us that our great country is very flawed and sinful, especially today. There is lying, corrupt government, abortion, and more. That being said, it may still be one of the best nations on earth. It still supports freedom, freedom to worship our Savior, and hospitals and such, and this is a thing to remember every 4th of July.
@tefky7964

It has so many problems, yet you have to mention abortion among first? Also you always had freedom to worship your savior, the problem is that you want to take away freedom of other people to not do that.
@supersnipey123

@@tefky7964 What I believe is that those who are not saved will go to a hell when they die. That’s what Jesus Christ died and was raised to save us from, and now we have a way to be saved. It makes sense to warn others and do what we can to get them on the right path, the path to heaven. Also, Jesus commanded us to spread the Word (Matthew 28:16-20). If you would want to know how to be saved, please ask me or someone else who knows. Also, I do not know if you know how serious abortion is. Why is it people look down on murder, and support abortion? They are the same thing! The acts of these doctors are comparable to the acts of Adolf Hitler. They have committed and are committing mass murder! Mass murder! They are cutting down thousands of lives. Think of it! Millions of innocent children. Just because they are in the womb doesn’t mean that they aren’t still living human beings.

@@WiggleJimmy Last thing of those he mentioned. I believe that we can say hundreds,maybe thousands problems about every country, so the fact that he said it just as 3rd thing is pretty close to top. Not problems like political divide and radicalization, homelessness, poverty, drug addiction, gun violence or many others, but abortion. Isn´t pantheon about polytheism? You know, those religions with many gods that existed all over Europe... before christians showed up. Am I supporting persecution of christians? Where did I say that? Unless you mean to imply that the root of the conflict was because they believed in tribal ownership of land instead of private (capital) ownership, and then it still has fuck all to do with Capitalism because they spent more blood sweat and tears murdering each than they did on the white man, ironically often to monopolize access to said white men. The push to pacify the Indians didn't come from capitalists who were perfectly content to buy the land they wanted from the tribes and perfectly content to sell them anything they liked, including the very weapons of war they used against the US Army, rather it came from socialists (national socialists even) who in true socialist fashion couldn't abide any social collective besides their own holding any sway on the same continent. America is where two homes separated by a beautiful, short, white picket fence each have their own distinctions. The first on the left has a cross symbol on it, and a wife and husband hug each other while on the other house, a flagpole with the US Marines Flag, the Old glory, and an Air Force flag are all on the same pole. The garage door has a photo of Tom Cruise, and two men hug each other in camo uniforms, waving at the other family across the white picket fence.

Beyond those monuments to heroism is the Potomac River, and on the far shore the sloping hills of Arlington National Cemetery, with its row upon row of simple white markers bearing crosses or Stars of David. They add up to only a tiny fraction of the price that has been paid for our freedom. Each one of those markers is a monument to the kind of hero I spoke of earlier. Their lives ended in places called Belleau Wood, The Argonne, Omaha Beach, Salerno, and halfway around the world on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Pork Chop Hill, the Chosin Reservoir, and in a hundred rice paddies and jungles of a place called Vietnam. Under one such marker lies a young man, Martin Treptow, who left his job in a small town barbershop in 1917 to go to France with the famed Rainbow Division. There, on the western front, he was killed trying to carry a message between battalions under heavy artillery fire. We're told that on his body was found a diary. On the flyleaf under the heading, ''My Pledge,'' he had written these words: ''America must win this war. Therefore I will work, I will save, I will sacrifice, I will endure, I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost, as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone.'' The crisis we are facing today does not require of us the kind of sacrifice that Martin Treptow and so many thousands of others were called upon to make. It does require, however, our best effort and our willingness to believe in ourselves and to believe in our capacity to perform great deeds, to believe that together with God's help we can and will resolve the problems which now confront us. And after all, why shouldn't we believe that? We are Americans. God bless you, and thank you. President Ronald Wilson Reagan First Inaugural address 1981

It is utopia founded on dictatorship of the proletariat and collectivism, where everyone is friend and brother to anyone, where no place for dictators, oligarchs and so on. Why it is not good? Is it worse than false democracy when you are choosing not the thing you want, but some guy that you dont really know what is really going to do. When the 90% of "private property" owned by those "good" bourgeoisie, when all that one have could be easy divided to 100 people and no one of them would be poor.
