Thats right. Doug just doesn't torture this car, it's possible to shoot it like a slingshot. This was possible because you didn't start at 2000 rpm, but at 4500-5000 rpm you released the clutch and it was ready. This car has a visible turbo lag, to compensate for it it is often done by revving it. Here it is possible because the drive is permanent (Torsen), which is different in Saabs from the 1980s and 1990s. They had problems with giving power during a quick start and a lot depended on the choice of tires and mixture. I think a well-kept RS2 does top 60 in 4.8-5.1s.

My SoCal buddy found Doug's RS2 out in the wild a few months ago and took a photo. As a Floridian I couldn't be jealous enough to see such a thing happen. Hate to see the RS2 go, but go wild with the next car!

@@JALC-x He literally never said that. @ 12:35 "So I kinda need to sell a car if I'm gonna buy another one in order to keep my life and my cars manageable." This is exactly what he says after explaining why he does not want to be a hoarder of cars @ 12:12 and gives examples of people with big collection of cars which they never drive and don't keep up with maintenance unless you're Jay Leno with dedicated mechanics. He had to sell the RS2 to add the CGT to his collection.

@@JALC-x Did you watch the whole video? Because he literally never said that. He very clearly said that he does not want to be a car hoarder and in order to make space for new cars he had to sell old ones to keep his collection manageable.

Should have search for oem blue alcantara rs2 seats instead of taking it to the shop. Just by looking couple seconds I can tell upholstery is no where near oem quality. Same goes for trim. Buy an oem set instead of wrap. Okay this might be able to fix

From your description, when you say "turbo lag," it sounds like you really mean "high boost threshold." The threshold refers to the engine RPM at which the turbo actually starts making boost. Lag refers to the time differential between throttle input and turbo response, which is down to the volume of the air intake system (including the cold side of the turbo, the intercooler, and all associated piping).

Doug...what is the current mileage on the car? How well has the car been maintained? How are the hoses, belts, radiator, breaks, suspension, and the manual transmission? When, if at all, have these belts/hoses/breaks, etc., been replaced? Have there been any fluid leaks in the car? Are the any electrical issues? Obviously, these are all very important issues!
