Here is a pretty cool tip for when you harvest Clams. Put your clams in a bucket and cover them with saltwater. Sprinkle about half a cup of cornmeal onto of the clams. A tip for mushroom foraging, look for the corresponding flora. Each mushroom species grow around the systems of specific trees and usually along a drip line, directly on roots, or on decay. So you can really focus on specific spaces in the forest. Once you know the seasons, temps, and are aware of the moisture of an area, you can really just spot a perfect place and time for specific mushrooms. :)

The stone broke because of the moister inside the brick. The best way to avoid this is to pre-heat your new stove with a small fire first and allow the moister to be released from the bricks slowly, then make your fire larger afterward. p.s. There is no need to pre-heat your tomato sauce, it will cook on the pizza and your dough will be hard. Good luck! ;-)

@@tonytomato100 that’s very much possible, the thought behind it was to make sure the mushrooms would grow back in that place. Best to get your wood fire going ahead of time enough that the wood had burned down to "coals". It might take a few logs to get there but once you have enough coals going, there isn't so much unburned gases (smoke) and flames reaching into the oven part where the pizza is. You also get a hotter oven with coals so you won't need as much to cook once you have a nice bed of them radiating the heat. There are other types of bricks or slate that will stand the heat better too but we'll presume this is an early budget plan for an oven. Great idea and review !
