i love this idea, but I think the base shapes should be more differentiated to encourage more strategic play. Like the shield unit should have a large tab on the back of the base. Making it much more resistant from falling over to attacks made from the front where the shield is. Having different shaped bases that change the physics of the mini itself would add a very interesting complexity to the battles and strategies.

Absolutely this! Frail units with small wobbly bases, units that have wide shapes on some directions but narrow in others to encourage flanking or attacking from behind, maybe even modular bases that 'chip away' as units take damage, making them easier and easier to knock over the more damaged they get?

This is a terrific idea as in units which larger health should be able to take more hits from more units. If those tanky units take the same hit to knock over as a glass low health unit, the combat will largely be a stalemate and the variety of troops will be limited. I still think the game would be cool, however this would compliment the existing game.

Unit Ideas: - A horseman that lets you move more and has a polearm (and if the horseman dies, another unit can be up the horse, spending 1 action point). - A spinning top is a kind of star (maybe for an Elvish team) that a wizard moves around the map, but the wizard cannot move. - A elvish faction with a bow man (with the same structure as the bow that you can make with a pen; im sure that somebody here did it once when you were bored in a school) - A bear standing at 2 feet and with a 45-degree angle so it can reach enemies from the top but also be easily tumbled PS: I'm subscribing right now. Yeah, the manual attacking is really cool, but I think it should have a board that makes it easy to keep track of exactly where the units are, and bases that are easier to rotate. Rockem Sockem Wargames. Creative idea. The missile being a damage die was interesting too. I considered that there can be a cavalry miniature to be fast. But I realized there is a problem with all the flicking needing to swing upwards to knock over a miniature. So just an idea if you plan to do different types of flick directions, have multiple miniatures with uneven bases so there can be a rock, paper, scissors where certain weapons are more difficult to knock over certain miniatures. For example, when a giant mace hits a giant shield, the base of the shield miniature extends further behind the shield so that it is more likely to slide when the shield is hit instead of being knocked over. Anyway, I look forward to your further works!

This is, by far, the most intuitive and possibly most inventive tabletop war game I’ve seen in a long, long while. Physical dexterity and finesse is a great way to make players, especially younger players, feel that they have a greater control over their strategy than dice can feel like at times. If I were to give any feedback, I would second what other people are saying with different styles for the model bases that make them easier or harder to topple from certain angles, depending on their defenses and the type of unit they are. Even something like making shield unit bases hexagonal so they can theoretically form a phalanx with enough shieldmen.

shielded units could be immune to insta kills, all insta kills are treated as 1hp damage. Or more in the spirit of the game, as someone suggested, shields causes larger bases as well. I dont like that they slide around and move when handled, would cause players to press down hard on their own base to stabelise, and all that pressure can cause accidents. Maybe a rubber play mat or rubber base buttom can help some and add a complexity level. Units removing parts of them self to indicate damage could be a thing, they lose function at the same time. But makes them more fragile perhaps, but it can be a feature to see the mayham.

But if you want to keep it that way, I would remove the "If unit falls down, it dies" and replace it with the unit having to spend the whole next turn getting up. And also, if you flick your own unit too hard, it gets stunned too, when it falls down.

Have you ever heard of attackticks? (Not sure if that's the right spelling.) They were a similar concept. Each unit had a ticker wheel in its base, which would audibly count off the unit's movement. Then each had a spring-loaded action, like swinging a weapon or shooting a gun, which could be used to make an attack. There were some deeper mechanics, as well, like the ticker wheel would sometimes display a white mark on the underside of the base. A unit knocked over with the white mark displayed would give the player who owned it some special benefit before being removed (eg. a vehicle/mount unit might be replaced by a driver/rider unit). I had the Star Wars units as a kid and I remember it being a lot of fun.

It's an amazing concept and design, you have a good base, I'm excited to see how it wilk evolve If you're interested in faction ideas, I think a nature faction could work well. You could have very low mobility tree troops that could provide for covers and spinning defense (while being very tough to take down in a swing) Fairies with low health, no attack but the ability to make an enemy troop yours if it gets close enough Gnomes being short enough not to be touched by spears and high attacks Wood elves being ranged units but that dies immediately if the tree unit is destroyed (the gameplay would then be a gamble between using the tree as defense vs having to protect the tree to survive)

i had a "similar" game that was purely about flicking the figures at eachother so they would fall of the table, so i think Battleclub is an incredible idea.

I think that it's a really cool concept!!! I had some ideas that may be useful: - The flicking mechanic is the core of the game, so maybe coloring the parts that can be flicked with a different color can be an improvement. - Making the repair man have an attachment thing to merge it with mechanical troops, so it provides more stability in exchange for -1 movement for the machine that he's attached to - Maybe Battleflick, Battleflickers as the title? idk this ones are personal - Having buildings for troops would be cool (Hut, medic camp, barracks, etc.) - I don't know if this is going to be in the final version, but I feel that packing the figures inbuilt and having the player to assemble them would be nice, like a Lego minifigure. I love it! Keep up the good work!

I had to look this up because its been about a decade since i even talked about it, but this game really reminds me of the old Star Wars Attacktix miniature battle game. This game is obviously more straightforward and I'd imagine since you can print your own, you could customize your own pieces. It would be really cool if you could put the clicker and spin down that the Star wars game had into the base of these miniatures to make measuring distance a little more streamline.

I'm so happy that 3d printers allow people to express their creativity.

I love the idea, what I think will be a bummer is the bullets from the mortarman barely hitting its bound to cause arguments weather it hit or just barely missed
