Probably just adding to the noise here but the app is very impressive. It’s literally idiot proof and so user friendly, so refreshing to see something that’s complete and not just cobbled together to get a subscription fee and monetise subscribers. Amazing 👍

Been using the Morsia app for around 6 months now... Genuinely this is first time I have managed to stick into going to the gym consistently for over 2/3 months and at around 5 times per week, rather than say 3. It's seriously impressive but the one thing I thought it was lacking was the detailed progress monitoring and data analysis - extremely excited to see that you guys are addressing this. Hats off to the Morsia team!

You’ve built a really really great app Matt! Particularly for beginners - wish I’d had something like this when I started, but nothing like this (in my opinion) existed 7 or so years ago, unfortunately! 100% unmatched in terms of session tracking. I use RepCount which does the job, but the fact that your rests are timed from the second you input the info for each set is so unique and convenient.

This was such a great overview of the app! My initial thought was, ok, this is yet another app to suggest and track workouts but I was , way off! The Morsia app is the most complete, personalized app for fitness I have seen and to be honest, I didn't think it was possible to have this kind of quality and thoroughness in an app! Morsia app got me from benching 75kg to 100kg within 2 months, with additional stuff to my entire body and strength. Really easy to use app. There does need to be an improvement in the ticker for tracking kg and reps though, that can be slightly temperamental

Some features that are missing that I'd love to see on there are being able to see graphs of different variables like weight, ORM etc and also being able to add your own custom workouts and meals in addition to the ones you have included! Once those are there this would be the one and only app id ever need :D

just signed up to try this out as we all have improvements to make no matter what type of training we do. I'm currently a Power lifter and i'm already seeing exercises & diet recipes on your plans that i don't have added in my current training plan. This app looks amazing. One thing I would love to see is having the option to put down exercises as "supersets", "dropsets", "pyramids", etc. I have never seen that on any fitness app and as someone who utilizes supersets and dropsets a lot, it would be great to see that on the app

No joke, I would love to see some addition to smart watches (I don't know if this is already a thing) I personally use a garmin watch that tracks reps, HR, calories burned and recovery time but I doubt you can do the garmin, as it is almost a solo watch that uploads to my phone after a workout. Even if you can take information from the watches into your app to improve my recorded stuff, that would be awesome. I am so worried about my HR currently with the whole covid shot situation, so I rely on the watch to track it in workout, but it would be awesome to see that info in your graphs (again I want specifically for me of course, so garmin watch, but all watches would be good). Thank you for doing this, it seems very fleshed out. I will be joining shortly and can give feedback as an average to above average gym user.

Hi Matt, hope you’re healing up well after surgery! I wondered if there would be an option for a household plan/joint subscription? Me and the wife train separately in our home gym but would look to follow the same meal plan, albeit with different macros. Would be cool if there was one subscription that allowed us both to follow a plan, track progress and share meals without having to both pay if that makes sense? At the moment I could pay for me and then use the app to tell my wife what to follow. The problem is she doesn’t then get the full benefits of the app. Equally it doesn’t make sense for us to both subscribe……any thoughts? Also, are there any functional fitness/CrossFit style plans within the app? Get bored lifting weights and like to mix it up :)

It’s something we’ve looked at in depth mate, the main problem lies in the tracking side of things. Obviously if you’re tracking both your wife’s & your own progress, things get a bit messy. Same goes for exercise selection, recommendations, preferences etc. we’d essentially be making a whole new user which would slow down the app’s performance

Hi Matt, just came across this video. The app looks great at face value! Are there any plans to add the functionality to scan barcodes of food so you can build your own meals to auto detect the macros? Further to this, then be able to track your macros over time and see any trends etc via graphs?

Really want to try this app it looks great. I’ve let myself go recently and want to loose fat, however, a couple of years back I got a wrist injury from kickboxing and it comes and goes, which makes me scared to lift heavy, can I still get in good shape even though this injury is holding me back slightly?

Thank you for the video. I’m tempted to sign up but wondering what kind of program would you do for me as I’m looking to do a 100 mile run and wondering which program would be best for me. I’m currently 108kgs after gaining about 12 kgs while I’ve been recovering from having a broken toe and now recovering from a bad cold so haven’t been able to exercise like I normally would.

Does this app build workouts around the equipment you have access to or does it assume your in some big commercial gym? I have quite a bit of a equipment, like a Rogue LP-2, Power Rack, GHD, multiple barbells, dumbbells, etc.

Thinking of this when I finish my current app program. I enjoy it but there’s too many different exercises for being in a busy gym, this seems simpler and I like the idea of swapping out (like when dudes are hogging the cables).

When you complete a set, a timer comes up on the screen which says 'Recovery Time'. That's your recovery time mate 😂

Matt / Ben would be great to add a notation to the history tab so we can tell if an exercise was fresh / first exercise. For eg, I don’t expect to hit the same figures on flat bench after anterior shoulder work. As apposed to chest day where it’s the first exercise.

We looked into this mate but it gets really messy as where do you draw the line? There are so many variables in terms of how many exercises you’ve done previously & how taxing those exercises are (same muscle group vs different muscle group). We’ll keep trying though 👍

I do think it could be easily implemented. Just a basic colour change of the font used. Have all first exercises in one colour and all other exercise one other. Or maybe just an asterisk next to first exercises that appeared first... Also would be nice to have the ability to record a drop set. Let's say I've done 4 sets of tricep rope pull downs. And feel like finishing them off with a 30 rep drop set... a little plus button to record weights and reps on the drop set would be cool. But thanks for all the work you guys put in behind the scenes. Everything ive suggested has been listened to and implemented.

Interesting app, I used to be a runner but after two surgeries I'm not sure if I'll continue to be one so I'm searching for new horizons. What I didn't saw was the warm up, like on the chest day I didn't saw some warm up program or anything.

Nutrition on workout apps all seem to focus on the user only when most people will be cooking for more than 1. Would be nice to be able add a second person with different body mechanics to include them in the recipes and to see what calories they should be consuming etc etc... There is obviously a subscription issue here but with algorithms already in place it wouldn’t be hard to include it in a single subscription. I’ve never seen this done before?

That’s an awesome suggestion mate & something we’ve looked at. The issue is portioning (i.e. if someone needs more protein than you, how do you split the meal adequately?). We’re working on it though 👍

I deleted my account days before the trial ended and it just charged my card. I can't even login because the account doesn't exist. There is no support phone number so I sent an email. I should have never been charged.

Would this app work for someone that is extremely overweight? Not going to the gym, has a barbell and a few kettlebells at home

Hi Matt, I bought the app around release time and I thought the app was reasonably basic and beginner. Clearly you and your team have put a lot of effort in to this app and I can clearly see changes, there are still areas for beginners but the addition of your teams workouts adds the chance for more experiences lifters use the app too. I wouldn't have recommended the app to people before but I can honestly say now I would recommend this people now thanks to the updates the app has undergone.

Hey matt, how does the programme differ week to week? Does it automatically increase the reps or weight as part of progressive overload from the previous weeks data? Or is the user in control of their own progressive overload? Also how does the bodybuilding and hypertrophy plans differ as I assumed they were similar concepts, if not the same. Thanks

Every programme is periodised meaning that it changes over time & increases in difficulty as you progress (progressive overload). The main difference between the bodybuilding & hypertrophy plans is that the hypertrophy plan has slightly more strength focus whereas the bodybuilding plan is exclusively rep/volume focused. QUESTION: In the meal plans, can I request that my meals have no added sugar? Since I don't eat much sugar at all, is that possible to select no added sugar for my meals?

I'm looking at trying this app as it seems to offer alot. My question is when you have achieved your goal either fat lose or muscle gain etc, is there a section on reverse dieting or maintaining without losing the gains that you have made?
