Btw it's spelled PSYCH and has to do with the realm of mind... like Psyche the goddess or psychology and programming of meta used to literally psych a person out. See Psych the TV show for reference. Honestly spelling doesn't matter to the gods it matters in cryptographic keys but psi and psy relevancy is a cryptographic key so there it should matter

@@trvm1 that's just a sequence of a third down and a second up. Sure, the dies irae does that movement once or twice, but I can't say this sequence resembles it to me. (Everyone interpretes music differently ofcourse, so your opinion is just as valid as mine) And now that I think of it, in renaissance polyphony, the theme can be mutated quite freely than in Baroque counterpoint, so for all intents and purposes, you can say it is the dies irae

If you listen carefully you can hear voices defying the traditional laws of four point harmony, including parallel fifths and octaves. These breakings of the conventions are used in a gutsy yet tasteful enough manner in order to cement this piece in classical history
