I started using italian dressing as a shrimp marinate back in the 70s.. it was great when camping. Prep at home and place it all in a plastic bag, ready to grill at campsite, but have never used it on meat. Going to try this on riblets.

Nice. I use Italian seasoning for mussels. Add fresh garlic and sliced chilli pepper’s. Grill them and the Italian seasoning thickens up on the mussels shells.

@@meatthinker I think you will like it. Add some salt and pepper in the mix as well. When the Italian dressing starts bubbling and caramelizes on the shell and around the mussels, it brings out a different taste. I even tried spicy Italian. That’s even better.

personaly i do not like bbq sauce, this is the only way i ever do my ribs.... i check these videos to see if anyone has different tips .... i have added the time to the marinate up too 24 hrs.... but it didnt seam to add much to the over all...

I use Costco brand pellets. ‘Kirkland BBQ Hardwood Pellets’ - it’s a blend of different types. It’s cheaper than other name brands and differences in flavors is minimal.

I don’t like to wrap my ribs makes it to soft I gotta have that pull don’t even flip it let it smoke !!!

One thing I noticed with marinating the ribs was that it won't get crispy on the bark like you would normally get. I'm going to do a testing for wrap vs no wrap soon!

Would be nice to actually see you taste it, rather than just showing how the meat is. Is the Italian better on it's own, or does the bbq sauce add something.

Ha, I do need to figure out a way to show myself tasting it while staying out of the screen! The ribs were good on its own but the bbq sauce definitely complemented the flavor. For my taste, I liked it with the sauce.
