Not sure why ppl in the comments are weirdly offended. Edit: Some ppl live different lifestyles. We never know how strict her home-life was or how she grew up or what their school systems are like where she grew up... ppl should be a bit more open minded. Not everyone lives the same. BUT I went on some shocking dates with some awful guys before I found him! 🤣 TOTALLY worth it though!! My mom married someone she met online, and they lived on opposite sides of the world- they would Skype each other and I only got to meet him when I was five. He came over for trips in October, which I loved because he would bring me candy and tell me stories about life where he lived. That's probably why I love learning about different cultures, so I'm glad he's in my life. My mom and him dated for over ten years before they got married and he moved over to us(we could not have moved to him since my bio dad and mom had to live in the same state for me until I turned 18.) Now, this guy and my mom live together with me and they have their own child, my half brother.

That's a really cute story it's so nice that ur so supportive of ur ma and that it worked out so well :3 I'm rn in a similar situation just with the twist that my bf lives on the opposite site on the country. Not that tragic or expensive to visit like the otherside of the world but still a huge burden for young adults like us. But luckely we managed to meet up last weekend and we plan to move together in the next 1-2 years :3

Sorry about your situation. I guess every experience is different. I met my first sons child at the University we attended.
