A terrificly underrated album. QSMD is, by far, one of the best Canadian albums of the last 10 years.

I was fortunate enough to hear So Gently We Go several times on my local rock station here in Florida back in the mid nineties. Jaq's guitar intro and extro on that song really tuned me in. Dig and Scenery and Fish are still two of my favorite rock CDs ever.

When IME went away, I tried to find a temporary replacement, resulting in serious disappointment. The best replacement for the loss is to go back and discover all the things you've missed before. QSMD has helped me through some serious bullsh*t in my life. It's my bible.

@TheConquistador7 I think it's about someone who feels distanced or jaded. The lyrics kinda suggest this and the fellow taking out his trash seems so distanced from everyone else in the video. I think No Coma refers to how he feels numb or indifferent towards either other people or everything in general. Don't be sad though, the lyrics suggest it's just a phase! I think we have all felt like this at one point or another.

1. this predates the whole Theory Nickleshit era (Nickleback was around but not very big I used to go see them for $5 at the rec center, they were pretty good back then) 2. this song does not sound like them, far more musical and better vocals. 3. this album was amazing

Nickleshit wasn't very big? The Quicksilver Meat Dream on April 8th 2003. Nickleshit had already gone platinum in the US and Canada before that. Silver Side Up was released on Sept 11th 2001 and How You Remind me was released in August 2001.
