I'm always suprised that you speak Japanese fluently and have a lot of knowledges about Japanese culture. K must be a great Japanese teacher for you lol

Oh thank you! I’m not fluent yet, but thanks to K I have learned so much about Japan and I’m hoping living here will help me improve my proficiency!

Having been to Japan 3 times, I can say a lot of people see it as some kind of Wonderland, and it is far from that. A lot of company workers in Japan dream to work and live in Australia due to the toxic work culture in Japan. Having said that, I will visit Japan until the day I die, but I will never live to work there, unless as a business owner. I wish you all the best from Canada! おめでとう
How did you learn Japanese? I’m trying to learn so I myself can go to Japan to possible move to live there.

I’ve studied Japanese since high school. It’s a hard language to learn, but very interesting too. All the best with your studies 💪

@@Sunny_in_Japan Do you have any suggestions that may help the learning process?
@Sunny_in_Japan

Unfortunately there’s no quick or easy way, but having a good foundation is most important. After that I found immersion the best way to learn ie putting yourself in situations where you’re forced to speak only Japanese
@RayvenArtz

@@Sunny_in_Japan ok, I really am determined to learn, but man the language is intimidating especially the writing.

Hi 😊 How long did it take you to get COE after the application?
@Sunny_in_Japan

Hi there, mine took one month, but we were told it could take anywhere between 1 and 3 months. It’s really a case-by-case matter so doesn’t mean it’ll be the same length of time for everyone.

My bureaucratic skills are rusty. Can't you just get a new "Copy of KOSEKI (戸籍謄本)" at the 市役所 and submit it to them?
@Sunny_in_Japan
9 ай бұрын
Yeah we ended up doing that (with an original, for some reason a copy wasn’t adequate). For some reason our marriage info hadn’t reached the 市役所 yet, otherwise we wouldn’t have had this issue. I assume it was just a delay because it was so busy close to New Year
@yo2trader539

@@Sunny_in_Japan I see, thanks for the explanation. I was confused because 市役所・区役所 is normally where we'd obtain KOSEKI-related official documents.
Never ever use a Public japanese toliet. Don't make the mistake I did. Now I can't use public toilets at home country any more. I'm too grossed out.Sigh,

@@Sunny_in_Japan You can go to Yodobashi or Bic, around 80,000 yen. Every Mom has one.
You shouldn't have your face photographed. Why should your face be filmed to go to work? Recently, more and more KZitemrs are filming without permission, but everyone is annoyed by it, just not saying it out loud. Conscientious foreign KZitemrs put mosaics on their faces. The world does not revolve around you. If you are going to film people's faces, don't film them without their consent. It is also an infringement of portrait rights.
