When I lived by the beach in SOCal if I had a bad day, bad week, whatever, I would go down and walk in the wet sand for hours. It fixed a lot of shit in my life I think.

I tried to go to Santa Monica a few times when I was sad living in LA and the traffic, parking, and people were so overwhelming I think it made it worse lol But the further north in CA I went, the more peaceful the beaches became, until on the Oregon boarder it became an almost transcendental experience to visit them

If you can live with minimal possessions you should try Costa Rica. It is inexpensive, beautiful, and the people are so much nicer than US. Racism is very low here, politics aren’t hardly ever discussed. Most people just live for the day. I have been here 7 years, surrounded by jungle, with 0 neighbors for 1 kilometer. I miss the weather of SoCal, but never the daily life. Peace to you on wherever you find yourself. Pura Vida@@AlyssaVanilla

I think that that's one of those things that comes with being primarily a loner,... As one myself, i find that sometimes you just fall into one of those funks.....i enjoy things, i enjoy the few times that i do socialize with people, but then there are times that i just feel sad or depressed, then i either go somewhere or do something that revives me.... And it passes, it's like a cycle..... Just hang in there, i absolutely love your videos, especially since I'm preparing to convert my own van for Van Life as well. Cheers😊

Thanks for showing us this beautiful location thanks for being you you’re a very special woman. And your channel is like I said one of the best. "Raw dogging reality" 😂!!! My gosh. What a classic statement. It always amazes me when someone strings words together in a way I've never heard them before. As I am also a migraine sufferer, I too must raw dog reality, and I feel you on that statement. On the happiness front (or periodic lacks thereof), that's been something I've suffered from my entire life as well. Recently I've come to a new understanding that it's not a good idea to always be chasing happiness. Happiness is just a feeling. Now I'm trying to accept that it's more about seeking purpose in all things I do and being okay with feeling whatever feelings I'm feeling at the time. Sometimes I feel sad, sometimes happy, angry, frustrated, content, overwhelmed, etc, etc.

Wow! You have spirit working through you - leading you to what makes you feel happy. I love what you had to say about this being the perfect time and you're doing the perfect thing... and then you give us amazing video of the sand dunes and the caverns. I too have a mindset for what to do on cloudy days - it helps a lot. I am 66 and just learned within the past year that if I am sad, I don't have to stay that way. I used to get sad over being sad, which just kept me there. I now have a list of things that makes me happy. Among my top ten is feeding and watching the dozens of birds that visit me. Another is meditation. Thanks so much for sharing the last few days with us. It is so great to see you happy... and it's great that when you're having a difficult day you are honest about that. We all have difficult days, so while we cannot understand exactly what you're going through, we wish you the very best in your spiritual and traveling journey.

I hope you see this comment, because I think that it relates to having control of our emotions and positions. It seems apropos of your comments about how you found relief from sadess. I have been working on shifting negative energy to positive energy (emotions, within relationship conflict, etc.) and found this quote that you might enjoy: John Gray says “Darkness cannot be directly removed, but it automatically disappears when you turn on the light”. Gray, How to Get What I Want and Want What I Have, pp. 22. I shared this because I sometimes forget this when I get sad or mad - and it's good to remember. There are a lot of youtube videos about releasing negative energy, but I think that starts by drilling down on your feelings, what they mean, and what you want instead - by shifting negative energy to positive energy - and then release the negative energy. I hope this helps.

When I was 5 yrs old I remember distinctly having this strange feeling that I wanted something... but I couldn't put my finger on WHAT it was. I looked thru all my favorite toys. Was it a toy I was wanting? No, not it. I thought "Am I hungry??" and remembered all my favorite foods. No, not it either. "Am I thirsty?". Again, no drink could satisfy this longing for... something. After a few minutes, it became so tiresome to my 5 year old mind to try and figure out the remedy for this strange feeling of desire to no avail. I brushed it off and thought "Eh I guess I'll figure it out later". Years passed. About fifteen of them. Now, here I was in my room, spending time with the Lord. And He brought back that memory. He whispered "The whole time, it was Me you were wanting." 😭 I fell down weeping. There is something inside us all that only God Himself can satisfy. He is the Lover of your soul, the reason for your existence, the very purpose you crave. Jesus Christ is the Light of every person. He gave Himself for you. And the things you admire in others are glimpses of Him. He is always reaching out to you- in the stillness, in the quiet, in the loneliness. Sometimes even loudly thru circumstances to try and get your attention. "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart" Jeremiah 29:13

Love the White Sands ❤ Was there two years ago. Great video. We all have down days no matter where were at in our life's. But everyday I have an Attitude of Gratitude no matter where my head space is at. You did a great job for getting out of that head space you were in and you chose a beautiful place for that. The caves were beautiful 😊
