A+ stream, I hope Miz and Dr. K do another talk some day. If you are a long time viewer, you can see the growth he is has been making internally and I suspect this talk will only improve that trend. I've just recently realized I might have ADHD at the age of 34. So... I had so many stuff that I thought were a real problem that I could fix IF ONLY I COULD ORGANIZE MYSELF BETTER: procrastination, pretty bad hygiene routine, trouble keeping up with social stuff, the constant feeling that I should be doing something else at any given moment... Everyone around used to say (and still do) that I can do anything I wanted, but I apparently don't want to. Now I realize how damaging that is, it's like they've made me gaslight myself for not doing enough. Oh, man, once I had these pieces all together - along with all the side effects, like the fear of disappointing people, being a people pleaser, having an "inferiority complex" and high sensitivity to rejection, and saw they all might have the same source, it's kind of a relief., although it also feels like I've been living a lie. This video came at the right moment for me, love to listen to these stories. And I love Dr. K.

I never got any praise or got any reward for anything. Not saying I expected a reward but still. Junior year I almost flunked, luckily the chemistry teacher had almost every class she taught failing but she somehow was able to pass most of them so she didn't get fired (🙄).. then senior year, we were given the chance to have school the entire day or half a day, I chose half a day. Goated fucking stream bro. Especially the last few minutes. Honestly i feel like this is how "talks" and "dates" should be like. Just listening to someone for 1 or 2 hours and trying to help them in anyway you can. Life is too short, but long enough to atleast listen to someone's feelings. Life would be so much more beautiful if people could share their pain and emotions with each other and really just say "it's ok" when they need it the most. This is far more deeper and important than "friendship" or "love". This is literally saving someone's life. The very least we can do for the people around us is to save their life.

To summarize. Brain is RAM, you are running 15 programs at once (YOUR MIND), but you are also playing a real life simulator (LIFE) with ping (A.D.D) against everyone in the world.... but you didn't KNOW that you were running 15 programs (WORK, CELL PHONE, FAMILY, AND EVERY OTHER THOUGHT) and have a ping issue, so you have to Ctrl, Alt, Delete (MEDITATION), to take a step back and be aware of these other programs that are running at the same time (BEING AWARE) and try to manage the never ending pop ups as best you can (PRACTICE) ... little by little, you will be so good at managing your brain and thoughts and find clarity and PEACE of mind.

The best way to make your game's community positive is to make the game a positive experience. For example a game near and dear to my heart, NieR: Automata, a mostly offline game where you play as an android and when you die you leave a corpse for other players to resurrect to help them fight the baddies of the game, that to me is a positive experience from a "negative" thing. So the best part about this game to me (spoilers ahead for this game's ending not story related but gameplay spoiler) is the ending to get the true ending you can't give up, they'll ask you to give up like 5 or more times, they even tell you to give up because it's too hard and it is, but if you don't give up a bunch of players will surround your character and basically give you infinite HP, in the most beautiful thing a game has ever done community wise, from the players for the players type of thing. And then when you finish the game get the true ending cutscene after all those players sacrifice their lives so that you could get this ending, the game asks if you want to sacrifice your save data to provide a life for the players who are trying to get the true ending too, you can leave a nice message it doesn't let you type it only choose positive words. And i know this game isn't an mmo or something but it's a beautiful work of art imo, and just a good example of making people happy and more wholesome because they know the power of helping each other it bounces back so giving up something so meaningful to you for greater happiness, is a beautiful way of sharing positivity and not breed toxicity. So yea it's all about how you design the full game from start to finish, what message you want to send and stuff. This is how to make the world a better place. In the other hand if you want your community to be toxic and you want to make the world a worse place, just add competition to your game, not that competition is inherently bad, but then add some kind of pay to win mechanic to show people how un-equal they are. Inequality is a great way to bring the most toxic parts of people out, they can stroke their egos, make them feel better about themselves because they paid to be stronger in a game, and make everyone else who didn't pay for it or can't afford to feel worse for it. Hence breeding toxicity isn't that hard if all you focus on is how to make money, instead of making the game a fun and positive experience from beginning to end.

At the risk of sounding corny/arrogant, here's a thought that helps me battle feelings of emptiness. If your self worth is derived from empathy and helping others, it takes the sting out of getting eclipsed by other people who are doing the same thing as you but better. Because spreading good karma and inspiring others to do the same is kind of sort of exactly the point.

I have pretty bad adhd when I’m not on medication. But I also have a serious illogical drug addiction to the medication that treats adhd (meth lite) I say illogical because I impulsively take pills until my bottle is empty staying up for many nights, not eating for many days , not cognitively functioning for days. And the worst of all the psychosis that comes after about the second day. Has been some of the most traumatic experiences of my life that I can’t even remember the details of because they were so bad (going through this with a therapist) there is ZERO positive reasons to take my pills like that, yet I do. However when I don’t take them. I become extremely inattentive and impulsive in ways other than just drug addiction. For example I impulsively tend to spend all my money till it’s gone. I can never finish tasks because I impulsively start them to the point that I can’t trust myself to start anything, etc. these things end up just destroying my life in almost the same way as the addiction. ADHD is real but most don’t actually have it that bad.

14:40 off topic but yeah, cats are trainable! It's just not as common or easily known to train them to do certain behaviors like we do with dogs, but it is possible.

I love people freaking out when miz said people can find different jobs, as if they cared when coal miners across the world started to lose their jobs and will lose their jobs as we transition away from coal. Just because jobs are lost doesn't mean that's a bad thing. Horse breeders lost jobs when the car was invented. Human calculators lost jobs when the computer was invented. Society is better off, and all those people DID find different jobs in the end. Robots have taken assembly jobs across the board, but guess what, now your electronics can be found for less than $1000 instead of costing $10000 due to the labor fees. This idea that jobs are a god-given right is sickening and anti-progress.

I wander is the phone doing something that results it to be an object of stress. Cause I remember there is a period of time where textbook is the thing in that place for me, I can’t read fluently and need to pinch my self to concentrate, feeling the heart beats so hard.
