I just started playing hired ops played about 10 games and didn't see any cheaters and it's not pay to win you can do a lot with starting weapons

Currently it mainly has bots, but these are god-awful. Sometimes they're braindead, other times they are just like those cheaters. Entering a wide area, getting shot once to do a perfect 278.3 degree turn and headshot you with a bolt-action sniper rifle. It really forces you to play cowardly, constantly in hiding, waiting for them to engage someone and only then to peek out like a rat and get effortless kills - that is if you don't want direct engagements to feel like a coin toss. I literally "used" them as 'player detectors' since their mega-perfect vision in this "how much brushes and foilage do you want in this game? Yes." type of maps they have no problems spotting anything. Unless you come up from behind or the side.... you're guaranteed to be spotted and shot at first. But I agree, the game does not feel as p2w. I'd even argue some of the regular weapons are actually better than premium ones

This game was supposed to be a successor of Contract Wars. Now Contract Wars... THAT is a hard pay2win game. Hired Ops? Well... not as much actually. Yes, it does have premium mode, but all it does really is make you gain exp/in-game currency faster and allows you to complete 4 instead of 2 contracts per day... so basically faster progression - it doesn't make you any stronger in-game. Now... there are premium guns in the game, with a RIDICULOUS price.. 4500 gold or whatever it's called. Now consider this: 200gold is ~1 euro, but you can spend 9euros to get like 2500gold. That's like 18 euros just to be able to purchase one of those guns. I can buy a whole video game with that. And there's like 8 of them (!!). So to get the "full package" of guns you need to spend like 120 euros? Are these guys insane? Thankfully I'm not a completionist type of a gamer, but if you are... oh god... stay away.. from contract wars especially. By the way, I tried those guns (bots tend to use them so you can loot them, or they are sometimes given in gun game modes) and... they don't feel "broken powerful" like some guns felt in contract wars. Are they strong? Yes, but endgame regular guns seem just as strong or maybe arguably even better. They are not those pinpoint laser 2~3-shot kill beamers like Noveske or ACR-C from CW. So yeah... Hired Ops was supposed to be like a Paid Contract Wars where you don't have these 130hp 120armor regenerating whales with laser guns and perks that are legit-wallhacks stacked up in a team, going up against those poor f2p users with their deteriorating guns and getting mowed down, but rather a level-playing field for all. Sadly that vision didn't work, and now we got this free game with very mild pay to win features.

This shit of a game was a sequel to web browser game called "contract wars" which was an awesome game though money grabbing micro transactions were big flaw. Despite that it had enormous community but a toxic one. I know coz I was a part of it. Now onto this shit called hired ops which Devs of CW haven't managed to properly bring to desktop gaming and no surprise to that because they didnt listen to its community but rather their money dead brain which only was thinking about those sweet micro transactions. Anyway hired ops failed before it even started and its a real shame because it had potential because of its simplicity, good lvl up system and nice graphics. Those were CWs traits, they only needed to improve them a bit. 😢

Well it's... actually playable. Dead... but still playable. I only encountered 1 cheater so far and yeah, it wasn't fun. Like seriously.. cheating in a dead game... against bots.. like how low can someone sink.. But yeah, the pacing and the gunplay does feel nice. If only those bots weren't so half-assedly coded..

@@GurksTheGamer Sadly I have to partially agree. While I loved the core gameplay and progression, the p2w aspect ruined it. Couple that with some ridiculous progression tasks which basically REQUIRE you to stack and/or pay up to actually do them.. and you got a total mess of a game that could've been legendary.

Yo, i'm a guy that spent a lot of time on this game since 2016, was in private alphas and betas, reworks and within the team Hired Ops isn't a good game at all, after the failure of the project it was turned into a cash grab game. The devs stated that CW 2.0 [Hired Ops] will not have Micro transactions Pay to win weaponry Better system All of these were lied, pay to win is back, microtransactions and of course their class system is horrid. Not to mention their horrible ideas using tarkov just to milk this horrible game. Not worth it.
