Suggestion: when your trains get dusty use a dry 1 inch pain brush to clean them off. I keep a few around the house to dust a bunch of small collector items. It also works well for dusting your computer vents and between the keys on the keyboard.

Seems like if your starting from scratch such as you are you’d want to go with your original plan and use the 4’ lengths of track. It will be so much more versatile with random bends as in real life as well has less possible derailments.

Be careful Ken, it's an addictive hobby! Can you post a copy of your new layout track plan. Funny you should say you aren't smart enough for DCC as I avoided DC because the wiring is so complex and frustrating to me!!

Yes it is. That would s funny. It seems like dc you just plug it in and turn the knob.
@chrisbarr1359

@@Kens265 well large layouts have a lot of power blocks, each individually wired, so you can turn power on/off to sections of track so you can operate more than one train. I'm not explaining very well! Search Google for images of DC train control panels.

Hi Ken I really don’t know what to say, I loved your garage building series but it all finished rather abruptly after you had few minor medical scrapes and it appears that the KK garage business has now come to an end? The business always seemed busy and well booked so I’m surprised you didn’t decide to sell the goodwill of the business on to a new owner?

Hi Ken, I think what you're doing will be fantastic but one comment and issue I see is you have started too high on the first base level when you are going up possibly 6 levels how are you going to be getting to the back tracks if a train becomes derailed or something else happens... you will need a step ladder to get to them whereas if you started lower down it would possibly be much easier to reach them.. also with you being so far away in the front that to me is also an issue.. but I no doubt will see as things progress.. cheers Tim Melbourne Australia...

Has anyone used the Woodland Scenics inclines under the plywood to start the first loop of a helix? Might it be an easy way to ensure the first 360 loop is a perfect rise if the table is already good and level? Once the first loop is good, all the rest are easy. What think you? Thanks.
