Yeah I’m never going back to the cheap PCBs again. This was a game changer. I’m playing on the cabinet so much more now.

after doing arcades since i was a wee kid, i'll save everyone the trouble: 1. if you want light up buttons, amazon is fine. i still use them in my kid's arcade 2. if you want american (concave) buttons, buy Industrias Lorenzo 3. if you want japanese (convex) buttons, buy Sanwa buttons that's it. don't waste your money or time on other buttons unless you try one of those three first and go from there to figure out how you want your buttons to feel. you are WAY better off buying a good joystick and cheaping out on buttons than the other way around if you have to cut corners.

The cheap amazon kit helped me understand how they work and made it easy to transition into a proper kit. I just wanted something easy and budget but after playing Street Fighter 6 on the new kit, I'm never going back!

Exactly what UI are you using to show your games in this video? Doesn't look like any Steam skin I've ever seen, but what do I know. O_O

It’s called ‘playnite’! (I’d link it but KZitem has been weird about offsite comment links lately)

recently got into fightstick modding and was learning about PCB compatibility. I'm curious if your new PCB would get more accurate inputs than your previous one. edit: saw the update video, looks clean :)

I'm pretty new to the scene as well. The fighting game community is great and really helped me understand how fightsticks work. I still suck but now I do it in style 😅

I mean .... Considering what you have gone through and discovered... Is it really worth it to ask someone else to commit $40 for a bunch of EG Starts Trash, only for them to also want to upgrade their parts in the future? That makes everything so much more expensive. The smart thing to do is to simply Avoid the entire Amazon Chinese Knock off set of buttons of any type and only buy reputable parts. What's funny is that your Thumbnail has an Arcade 1up in it, and probably unbeknownst to you, what you have gone through, many others have had that same journey of discovery. At the end of the day, the Arcade Parts Market is made of a bunch of out of date Patents that allow a massive Chinese Knock Off Market to exist that is then supported by people who don't know much about Arcade Parts, of which many never learn to Respect, like how you have. So for this mutli layered yet very similar reasons, no one should waste their money on buying trash, to then have to replace. Ya it's about choice, but some choices are just wrong. Great video, especially because it illustrates a unspoken reality that people new to Arcade Parts just don't understand, and many won't just do to how intuitive people are. But even then, whether you're hardcore , or new to Arcade Gaming, everyone can equally benefit with reputable parts, rather than belittling their own skill or interest to waste money on junk.

I know its not accurate, but i'd be tempted to make it a hitbox setup

I was thinking of making a portable setup with a hitbox config since it’s so low profile. I wanted to stay true to the stick for the cabinet
