Great choices man. I totally overlooked Goldie. Forgot it was THAT one! Gonna cost me down the line probably. Your playing on the first two examples especially was stellar! I LOOOOVE this idea!!

I love how you match up odd pairings, rather than similar style instruments. The whole apples to oranges match ups all the way through gave me a whole lot more info than similar matched pairings! 👍

This is a really cool, fun series and idea! loved this video and did pretty well in my early round predictions - though tough challenges to come haha!!!!

I ended up starting with the even numbers because I felt they were slightly more predictable than the odd numbers in the first bracket, things get hectic in the next one haha

Totally agree with the apples to oranges comparison in the first round, but that exquisite look and sound of the 335 sealed the deal for me!!

That's the fun of it, just stuff I'd have never made videos comparing against each other that ends up being a little different

This was fun! The Cory Wong surprised me, im not a strat guy and not a Seymore Duncan guy or so i thought, cant believe i loved the tone of that. The Momose and Albatross were killer but i was expecting them to sound great, the Wong was a surprise!

The Cory Wong was super unlucky to come up against the Albatross - it really is a fantastic guitar and dare I say the one I like the most out of all the modern production Fenders I've played and I've played quite a few of them!

Aww man, right out of the gate I thought the Gibson would lose to the Momose! That's gonna cost me some points over coming rounds... Great variety of styles and moods here! I guess that's what we ideally want from a small "stable" of guitars -- inspiration to get us out of falling into a rut!

Each guitar seems to motivate you in a different direction/style, you seemed a little more relaxed, animated and fluid on the Tele. I can’t remember which guitars I put in the brackets I might have picked a couple that matched your choices.

That makes sense, I'm always most at home with a telecaster - some things just never change Rex

Wow Momose going down in the first round! Kinda surprised it got paired up against the GIbson 335 - that one's going to be hard to beat. Would have expected that showdown to have happened much later but probably the same result.

It was just a super hard match to call - honestly if the momose and the Gibson were the exact same weight I think I'd have gone for the momose but that really is a killer for me at the moment. That guitar is a tank! The next round is brutal with matchups, some I still question if i made the right choice haha

totally hear you. and what's fascinating for me is my own criteria changes over time and my ears seem to change over time too - not like years and years of time but could be one day to the next. one day I'll hate my strat feel like it just sounds like glassy garbage and next day it is exactly what I am looking for and my Jazzmaster sounds like icepicks no matter what I do. Anyway this "tournament" was a great idea and as always your playing is so melodic and tuneful it inspires me to pick up my own guitars and play!@@AudiomoMusic

I think I got all but one. I can't totally remember. I will say, the last, match-up, the SX sounded leagues better than the Gibson. But, it was because of the funk style that was played. The R9 sounded really good here. I was, dare I say surprised, but man did it sound really good. Especially just before you have it more gain. Sounded good then too but wow didn't have character and nuance to it. The Momose (not sure if I'm spelling that right) sounded great too.
@AudiomoMusic

The reason I took to the R9 so quickly was because of how just incredible it sounds clean and responds so well to dynamic playing. We all know a LP is going to rock but this one really excels with the clean stuff - big fan
