Combining Automation with this engine simulator and then porting it to BeamNG is the best combination until the engine simulator is applied to future racing games as a bundled license or as a mod for current games, like Wreckfest and other racing games that have engine changes. Wreckfest is a good 2nd option thanks to engine options being minimal. BeamNG is really detailed so the program is perfect.
@fillman86

wreckfest isn't really a simulator though, and the engines don't really utilize power in that way. I'd be fine with just making engines for beamng in this, but if I could also have the realistic power delivery that's possible here, that'd be great!

The 760 sure seems about right for road speed. At least compared to the harvesters I end up behind. Where I live is a small city surrounded by farming. Especially this time of year, we have a lot of these driving from field to field. Yours looks good and, except for the rear wheel steering, seems to drive realistically. Not "luxury" as we might see in a Rolls but still quite a lot better than most passenger cars. Yes, these are a pain in the butt for overtaking. Thankfully, I rarely have anywhere to be at a specific time anymore, so I can just hang back and let them do their thing. @fillman86

Yeah, but getting over 3 tonnes is tricky in automation XD hence my reaction to its weight. Also most cars use hydraulics to turn their wheels too, so can you clarify?
@glleesqwerty6402
2 жыл бұрын
@@fillman86 I meant they use hydrolics instead of a conventional gearbox. I belive they do that to better control a stable speed. It might also help it to get a lot lower "gear" ratio. Combines don't really follow any normal things cars do, so it's a merricle you got anywhere near how they really are. The only reason I know this stuff is because I readily have acsess to one.

@@fillman86 I think I worded my question poorly, apologies. I’m talking about creating engines which can be used in regular beamng cars. I made a couple for the pessima, but my methods are very unrefined and I’m not too sure I’m doing it right. I first use an automation car shell to export it to beamng, then access the engine .jbeam and copy the values over. Probably should actually use the actual power the engine makes. 1000ft-lb Cause it is a 8 ton vehicle and your nerfing what your engine actually made.
