Have fewer emotions... Keeping your emotions pent up is actually super damaging like that's the worst advice. Your emotions don't cloud your judgement, they inform it. It's not possible to completely separate yourself from your emotions unless you're a psychopath, so there's no point trying, it's better to just acknowledge your emotions without letting them overpower you.

Look, my AVID classes have better advice than the crap that lily gave me. A psycologhist would say that surpressing your emoitions aren't normal. Youll eventually have a meltdown, and feel EXTREMELY depressed. Then you might tip over the edge. Repressing your emotions and preteanding everythings fine is not a good stratigy, and teaching this to an impressionable audience is horrable.

I'd rather be a Boss, because then I can tell her to stop trying to be funny and relatable, and just get back to work.

I got this book on audible and returned it after the first chapter! I am in my mid 20’s and I feel that her writhing works better for teens. Like you said, the metaphors and the simplicity of the writing killed it for me. I love the message behind it through.

I used to really like her stuff and unironically bought and read her book. My critical reading skills were not very good at 10 lmao, so I didn't notice anything bad. I haven't kept up with her stuff, but the comments tell me what I need lmao.

This like most KZitemr books sounds like they were given the deadline and wrote the entire thing the night before. Just putting whatever thoughts came into their head onto the pages.

The quote about Ted was actually pretty clever...if you don't overthink it.

Most of us are emo here. Some just have better tastes in music than others.
