Thank you Brandon, If you read your comments, I had an idea that your next spoken word world be about Archie. His experiences spending 37 years in prison and how he hadn't known he had his very own daughter that he never new about. If you read this which you probably won't but "If". Then he sings. How amazing it would be. Am a great supporter of yours. Please keep on going forever + forever. God bless you we all need more spoken word.

Hi Brandon. I just come across your poetry today for the first time, and I was blown away by the feelings I get when I listened them. I feel like I’m refilled with emotions long forgotten, it unlocks the box where this emotions was hidden, makes me awake again, makes me feel the emotions and the feelings I have for the loved ones, feelings shadowed by not important things like money, cars, unused belongings, meaningless things which fogged my soul and mind. Thank God for living you among us.

Brandon, I cannot thank you enough for being on AGT; otherwise, I might never have been introduced to your poetry. You are a gifted poet, listening to your words is like looking through the clearest pane of glass into a beautiful soul. What makes you so incredible is that you have gone through experiences that are enough to embitter, poison or destroy one's life but instead you transformed painful experiences into incredibly beautiful poetry. Your capacity for love has transmuted justifiable rage and sorrow into something that transcends anger and hate. Your words are so powerful that I am changed for the better for having heard them. I'd love to see you win AGT but even if you do not, you will win a huge audience anyway. Thank you! PS - I just ordered your collection - B Sides on Amazon and looking forward to reading more of your poetry.

Brandon, I pray your justifiable rage finds more heart. So often, that feels an outrageous expectation, unfair, unjust, and leaves us feeling unseen. Yet, that is our task, our burden and our gift. When we find it we liberate ourselves and all beings. That is our task.

AGT has introduced you to me. I now feel a connection that I don't want to end. I am a nearly 63 year old white woman. All my life, I have had friends of color. My friends were living in a "white world" in a way that I never really can fully understand. Often the only dark faces in a classroom filled with pale ones. Judged too light by their peers. Judged too black by a white world. Your emotion, told through simple words, helped me to understand a life I have not experienced. A life that is so unfair, so wrong, so evil. A human should not suffer such inhumanity because of pigment in the skin. Thank you for moving me. Thank you for opening my heart to a greater capacity. Thank you.

Much has been made about the fear of white suburbia. However as a black male we are expected to accept being treated unfairly and we're supposed to smile about it we can't do as our white counterpart do and feel rage because that could get us killed. It would cost us our job, our homes, our sanity. There is nothing like preparing to open a carry out eatery, going to a restaurant equipment store in a state like West Virginia which is 97% White to purchase restaurant equipment so that I can better myself. Handing the white man $2,000 for equipment that he never delivered. When I went back with my mother in tow asking about my money because the equipment had never been delivered, and having the white man tell me he doesn't have the money. I asked him why didn't he have the money to which he replied "I had bills to pay". My mother requested that he give the money back he looked in my face and hers and laughed and said when I get it you'll get it. I remember thinking how badly I wanted to attack him and beat him until he handed over my $2,000, but as a black man I had to keep my cool, allow this white man to get away with taking my $2,000 and leave that store smiling, because had I not, had I did what I wanted to do, what that white man would have done to me had I been the one who had taken his money; the police would have been called, the local media would have been involved and nothing would have been said about him taking my money. It would have been all about this big black man who attacked this white business owner in his establishment, and then the criminal Injustice system would have began its racist work to put me, a nigger back in my place. That was 23 years ago and I still haven't gotten my money after havening gotten an attorney. I had to let the $2,000 go. That's what it's like to be a black man in America your manhood is taken away from you, you are imasculated in front of your parents in front of your family your children your wife and you still have to smile as if you love it that's what it's like to live in America as a black man .
