I love this film - so many great scenes and a masterclass in storytelling. Oskar Homolka's performance was superb. The scene right after this when the aunts are reading from his notebook and learn of all those unknown acts of kindness for the disabled children is also fantastic.. "Walks now..."

I tried to upload it, but it was blocked. Someone else had that scene uploaded and it was fine until now. I wonder why.

@@lynnjepson302 It's a mystery why movie studiios do this. Believe it or not, when "I Remember Mama" was released, it lost $1M for the studio, RKO Radio Pictures, Now 74years later, RKO has been out of business since 1957 and Warner Bros. owns the entire RKO film library. Yet,they won't make the best RKO films availalble. I see a loot of great films on KZitem, ranging from things like "Lawrence of Arabia" to "The Bridge on the Rive Kwai" to "Nprth to Alaska," but I've nver see any of the RKO classics ranging from the Astaire-Rpgers musicals to "Gunga Din" to th "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" to "Crossfire" to "I Remember Mama." Why, Warners? You're not going to make much moneyon thembecause many young peoplel don't care or know of them. Bt many of us old-timers would like to see them once in a while.

A good way to go out. When he said "Let me finish the bottle", did anybody else hear a "I shall finish the game" type of moment there? He's not going out with tears and whining. He's finishing the bottle with the sun shining on his face. A great death scene.

I loved this movie, especially with the sisters all together. I attempted to find a meme, but, this generation is incapable.... Much to work on.

I've read that Marlon Brando had a small part in this movie. Does anyone know when one can find it?
