This video is a follow up of the one I had posted about the motor rewinding. I show an example of my own endeavor of repairing the motor, and more specifically this highlights how I had done the hall sensors.
The hall sensors I used were SS41F. I bought this on amazon for 40 pieces for 12 dollars. The SS41F is a bi-directional latching hall effect sensor with a 4.5Vdc to 30Vdc range.
I also have bought previously the SS49E and the A3144. It is to my understanding that these will not be able to be used as a hall sensor inside of the motor.
The SS49E is mainly the hall sensors used for THROTTLEs and I will also be posting a video showing what this means.
The A3144 I had bought after reading on the internet that it would work, but my attempts proved unsuccessful. It is also worth mentioning that this A3144 only has 5Vdc for the source as well as it being a unidirectional non-latching hall effect sensor.
TLDR: SS41E is what you need. They are what will work for hall sensors inside the brushless DC motors.
If you don't have a PCB like I don't and are directly using only wires, then it might help to know that the source of each and the ground of each are made into one connection. So the 3 reds form 1 lead and also the 3 grounds form one lead.
Motor used is 48v 1500W Voilamart
Music now listening to it is somewhat disappointing I will make sure to improve for the next video!
Please understand that I am only a hobbyist and am sharing what I have come to know to the best of my knowledge. If there are details that should be pointed out please comment! Also let me know what you think I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong and what can improve in my creating these videos.
