Really surprised that anyone would even think of criticizing you for the amount of social media that you do. Given how time consuming it is to run a business, to be able to also find the time to make these videos probably means that you work very long hours. Very, very long hours.

I’m glad someone has empathy! The equine business is extremely stressful. And now having a platform where you can put up content is adding to her mental health which is going downhill. Thank you for posting again Miri. Glad you don't let your contribution to You Tube drive yourself batty with needless pressure to produce more content. You know what works for you. Always a pleasure to watch. You make sense about not showing your training regimen step-by-step as, of course, every horse/client is different with different challenges/expectations and goals. I would love to come and take lessons/train but unfortunately I live in New Zealand so am probably as far away as anyone can get from your yard on the planet ! I'll have to make do with what I can glean off your channel meanwhile. I would still love as much info as you are prepared to share about your method/progress with Zora (and of course all your other horses) Regards from Aotearoa.

Wonderful video as always Miri, it's so good to see Zora progressing! Just wanted to say thank you for talking about your anxiety. Running your own business is really hard and we have to be so careful we don't run ourselves ragged trying to get everything done. Something I've found really helpful when my to do list threatens to overwhelm me is to only think about the thing I'm doing right now, (and maybe the one thing after that) at any given time. Then once I've finished the thing I'm doing now, assess what the next thing to do should be (and that includes eating food!), then do that. I find it helps the brain not get frazzled, and controls the adrenaline surge that wears you out. Also being ok with not getting everything done in a particular time frame. I find I actually get much more done than if I'm stressing about all the things that need doing. Anyway unsolicited advice that may or may not help you! Also I fully celebrate that you're standing your ground and being very clear on the things you are not prepared to do to protect your business and your mental and physical health. Good for you! I'll watch your videos worry-free going forward, knowing that you're not killing yourself to get content out there. X

So glad I found you in my feed, absolutely loved this video. You have a very full busy life with these horses and riders. Anxiety can persist at any age unfortunately from young (yourself) to older (myself 62). Looking back I see my sisters and I suffered from early on. I was taught transcendental meditation (a 15 min session at 14) and has stood me well all these years, a suggestion. It is a baseline, not a miracle cure. As you said, you manage "it" (anxiety) to find ways to cope and live a better life. You are impressive, please understand those that enjoy your videos (me!) want YOU to choose how and when you manage your videos WITHOUT pressure, so it stays happy for you and not a chore. I subscribed :)

Hi Miri! So, so happy to hear you say that "social media is a small part of your life & that you don't want to get stressed out or make yourself sick over it." Yay you, your life & your horses are far more important, we'll catch up with you whenever you want to post. 😊 For those who have never been self-employed it would be hard to understand the pressure. When most people go to work, they work & go home to their life. When S.E., you go to work, but you don't just go home & that's it. Instead, Miri has about 5 different jobs there + all billing, ordering, sched. Farrier, Vets, social media, training, lessons, attracting students, etc., etc., etc. S.E. = 6 to 7 days per week. It's not glamorous. So, you should be proud of yourself

What you said about anxiety is so so true!! I got sucked into a pit of anxiety and panic attacks for a couple years straight, I would have a panic attack every single night and I would have anxiety throughout the day that would consume almost every thought. And what I found is I would make myself panic thinking that I would have such intense anxiety for my entire life and I truly didn’t know where I would find the energy to cope with it. I got a new job and found that I began to have happier days which scared me at first but I have learned this year that I won’t live with such an intense amount of anxiety for my whole life. Learning to allow myself to enjoy happy days has been so important for me! Sometimes the anxiety creeps back in but knowing that it will get better has been so beneficial for me. I hope you continue to improve with your anxiety and managing the busy life style that working in horses throws at us. I admire you honesty and bravery to put it out there!! You’re an incredible horsewoman and I love your videos. Keep up the good work :)

Miri I love watching your vids. You make me laugh. And I am learning so much . You are under a lot of pressure to fit all your lessons ect in. I understand that feeling of constantly being running around. I did it for 32 years in my job. Hardly finding time to eat or drink. But its so important to eat and drink regularly. Your health is so important. And your adrenal function. If stress levels get high. Without food it stresses your adrenal's and nervous system. So always try to put in meal breaks. Sit calmly to eat and drink. Take a few deep breaths. A mini meditation. To calm your anxiety. It doesent matter if your a few mins late. But the affect on your body of not eating regularly. Will be detrimental to your health. I talk from experience ... You can't look after everyone else if you dont look after yourself. Take lots of healthy foods in your car and water. Have a mini break between jobs of calm. It will make you feel much better. You remind me so much of me when younger. You do an amazing job with all your horses. You are my fav horsewoman. I love you. So take care of yourself as no other bugger will...😂🤣. Thank you for taking the time to make these vid's. They make me soo happy. I wish I could come and help you. But my health is shit...at the mo. Great video and I totally hear you re: the anxiety, it's so tough and it's annoying because it makes no sense but you feel it anyway. I'm guessing you're like me and you can't eat when you're anxious, makes life bloody difficult especially if you're showing and need the energy but can't get food to go into the system! Now this is going to make me sound like a total hipster but one thing that made a huge difference for me was going onto a gluten free diet. I did a one month gluten free trial because I'd heard it would help with reducing the number of headaches and migraines that I was getting. It not only did that, but my anxiety dropped substantially, to the point where I could suddenly eat a full cooked breakfast before going to a show and compete without being an absolute bundle of nerves. Downside though is that when I went to eat gluten again, my body decided to reject it so I can no longer eat it which rules out sandwiches, pies, rolls, cakes... it's not good. And bloody expensive. But it's worth it because even the surges in anxiety are manageable now whereas before they were getting to the point where I didn't want to leave the house. Anyway not sure if that helps you or anyone else but it definitely helped me so thought I would pass it along in case anyone wants to give it a shot. The videos are super, I love the way you work with your horses, your kind and empathetic approach is great to see. Take care of yourself and keep up the amazing work!

Try not to compare yourself to other people; especially when their situations are vastly different from your own. As someone who works within the industry myself, I really enjoy the content that you produce as it's far more relatable to me and as such I tend to find it more interesting than vlogs produced by people who are living a life that's completely different to mine. I too work with young horses (mostly dressage), and I always like to see how other people process the challenges that we can come across in the early stages of their development, when they are most sensitive to what they're being taught. This is a bloody difficult - and often very isolating - world that we work in; even more so when you're self-employed, self-funded and are responsible for the entire business! But the fact that not only are you working the ridiculous hours that I know horses demand but also like to produce these vlogs (which are often very informative in nature) says everything about how dedicated you are. Just don't feel that you need to destroy yourself to keep people happy; quality over quantity ANY day. Videos once fortnightly; once monthly, whatever. They'll still be valued by your subscribers. You and the horses in your care come first, always. ETA: I do agree about the groundwork, though. Especially with young and/or anxious horses. There's only so much that you can *learn* through watching videos. So whilst videos can be a great way of getting ideas for exercises or as a source of inspiration, so much of what we do with horses comes down to learned feel, body language, and most importantly timing. None of these are things that can be taught through a video; only learned through repeated (and, in the early stages at least, guided) experience.

I love your videos with the young horses. Your training philosophy is so kind and understanding of the horse. I have a 2 year old that I plan to have backed next year. I only wish that I was closer so I could send her to you!

I currently have a 12 year old gelding who is very unresponsive to my leg and will not carry himself. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve spoken to a lot of people and nothing has worked so far. Love your videos and I’m in love with Zoras progress. Your doing a brilliant job x

Maybe it’s been done already but the lord of the rings sound track is amazing with horses! There are a few that would work amazingly for the trot and canter but you’d probably have to get them mixed for it to work properly.

I quite agree; your priority is your work. I know from experience that trying to keep many plates spinning at the same time, most of the time, is incredibly stressful, and your job is probably many peoples´dream job, so there is no point if you cannot enjoy it. One comment of yours intrigued me: you mentioned that you don´t take a wage out of the business, so the obvious question is, how do you manage this? Do you have support from a partner, and/or parents, or do you have income from some other business? It´s not nosiness, just the logical curiosity from someone who is really enjoying your channel. xx

"Concerning Hobbits" from the lord of the rings soundtrack; literally everything from "How to Train Your Dragon." Ender's Game" score is amazing (Battle Room is lovely) as well as the "Transformer's" score from the first movie. Jurrasic park has a lot of fan fare as is custom with John Williams. Disclaimer - I'm not a Dressage rider in any way but I do love a good movie score!

Do what works for you!!! You don’t want to change who you are as a person and you don’t want to make yourself sick and tired and then not enjoy it anymore. If people get upset over you not posting enough videos or for not posting certain content, that is their problem and they don’t really care about you as a person.

Thanks Miri love your vlogs, love your insta i can't understand why your not sponsored by big companies when your vlogs are coherent informative interesting funny heartfelt REAL, i guess the world want ditsy faff thank goodness for you. i am going to send an email to Horseycountry ( i know its not called that its what i call it) every week till they give you a job sponsor you and make you a star. Please never say anxiety is you its something you experience it does not define you because you are so much SO VERY MUCH more just tell it to FO . I follow Olivia Towers and she is great but i think the pressure to get your face out there takes its toll on her and takes away how fabulous she is. i dont remember seeing Carl Hester Vlogging or Harvey Smith (showing my age) hard work made them so your work ethic is on point. Im sure you have done it a good few times, but are you frightened getting on an unbroken horse ? i know Zorra is lovely but she could just flick you over the stable wall and into the field up the road, i admire you so much for what you do and stay so calm.. Your obviously great because we have all messaged you to tell you that and you have one hater so you have arrived. x
