I really liked the paint job before you "characterized and aged it" but it's YOUR truck. Certainly appreciate your talent. You are one of the hardest working people on KZitem. Can't wait for you to get motivated again on the coronet. Keep doing what you love...

I was going into WB withdrawals. Man! Truck is looking good. I like the age and character, but I think after your done with that, I would buff it out to a near shiny finish, like if you found the truck like that and decided to try and save it. Put a little shine back in it. Can’t wait till to see the finish. 👍🏻👍🏻

awesome did you feel your H-A I didn't feel mine was doing a 72 hr. shift (FD) didn't feel a thing sad part is they retired me (SUCKS) I have a defibulator now due checking out 3 times & was sent back 3 times O well guess they don't need me yet .

Tell you what, Mike - you are a marvelous technician - your work is always done to perfection, but, I can't agree with you on this one. I like nice shiny paint jobs, and it seems like you've spent a lot of time & done a lot of hard work, and now you have a truck that doesn't look a whole lot better than it did when you started. That said, it's YOUR truck, and guys like me should probably keep their mouths shut & enjoy watching a master craftsman do his thing. Keep the videos coming. my friend!

Mike, I really liked the paint job. I thought if you just left it out in the sun instead of keeping it in the shop it would age on its own. I've watched woodworkers "age" their projects but won't do it again - it makes me cringe. Love to watch you work and am waiting for another few flips.

With the warn body, little dents and warping, you are doing awsome on the patina. We were at a huge car show yesterday and saw a nice truck, a little more warn, with poppy's patina and looked good

I like it, subtle patina is working. I agree with you that the shiny orange was a bit too much. I'd also 100% add the chrome trim ESPECIALLY if the owner is gonna just enjoy it.

I bought a old suburban the same color orange..it was a city owned maintenance vehicle. Painted it black and gun metal Grey. Love how your truck is looking.. Great 👍 job

For my personal taste I like the dull finish, but the "burn-through" is too much. With that said, it's your truck and I always like watching what you're working on regardless. I like that fact that you love it. I'll be waiting to see if you give the grille, roof, and wheels the same treatment to be consistent. Keep those videos coming!

I painted my 1966 Chevy pickup a year ago with rustoleum paint and it is very dull now. Mine is red and white two tone. I am going to give mine another coat of paint to bring back the shine. I used a roller thinned with mineral sprits. It came out smooth and shiny. This time I will wax it afterwards.

I painted my Dad's 66 Ford Twin Beam 3/4 Ton truck many years ago with Rattle can paint. It will fade on its own quick enough. The shiny doesn't stay long. I like the shiny orange but it's your truck.

I'd hit the door around the key hole with scratches and behind the handle where a wedding ring would damage the paint. Definitely roll the window down and get the white where the door would be shut when exiting the truck, maybe even a cigarette burn where you'd be holding it out the window against the body. Stuff that really makes it feel real.

I am totally burned out on patina, especially fake stuff. However, I think it suits this build and you're doing an excellent job! The hood is psychedelic! Definitely donate those cab trim pieces!

Its difficult to drive a patina truck , family n friends know I can do body n paint like a professional n they don't understand why I drive a original 1967 c 10 original patina truck . A man at a car show told me you can't make real patina, rust and cottage cheese rust n rust holes ,I love it .what everybody can do is buy all new sheet metal and put on a 10,000 paint job , it's not for many .I L OVE IT ,THANKS FOR SHARING.
