I needed to hear this. 5 month carnivore been stalled for over 3 months. Non scale victories are great but I have been driven by the scale for 50 years. The lack of cravings is why this way of eating works. Even when not losing there is no desire to eat badly. Would you sink your sailboat simply because the wind has stopped and you are not making any progress towards your destination? That would be crazy.

I’m a 54 yr old 5’8” woman , I started Keto Jan. 31, 2021 at 263lbs and lost 80lbs in 6 months which was amazing, but the gut issues, severe constipation and terrible leg and foot cramps were all a constant problem. Then I found out a friend of mine had beat cancer and went thru chemo like a champ while utilizing the carnivore diet. As I was also looking to help my husband deal with the extremely painful flare ups of diverticulitis and the removal of a large portion of his colon I Dr. Baker’s videos in my desperate search to help him stop the damage, which led me to the carnivore community and I started to eliminate the fruits and veggies and grains and toxic seed oils and all the Keto recreations that kept me a prisoner of my food addiction. I did gain 20lbs back, I was ravenously hungry and allowed myself to eat all the meat and dairy I wanted. Two years into 95% carnivore and I’m still stalled at 200lbs and battling the dairy. I had back surgery in January 2023 so my movement limited but I’m now able to add more movement which I’m sure will be helpful in my fat loss starting up again.

Keep the grains out, add in fruit and raw unfiltered honey, a few tbsp at night. Watch Dr. Paul Saladino's videos. I only lost 20 lbs doing Ketovore for a year and had no energy. Now after adding in fruit and honey, I have energy I'm losing weight again and I feel great. I am getting electrolytes from real food...fruit instead of supplementing like most Carnivores do. The Carnivore Diet is not meant to be a long-term diet for most people. It's just not sustainable long-term for most. It's a great elimination diet, though. Who wants to wait three years to lose weight like Kelly did??? Yes, this is the first time she's ever said it too.

Kathy, I cannot believe you are 70! Wow! Great to hear your story for me to hear. I am 63 and my new mindset is the 5 year outlook. I have been carnivore since May 2023. I started with OMAD without evening knowing that was a real thing back in December 2022, then started Keto in March 2023 before learning about carnivore. This has been a continuing learning process. I am always grateful to hear personal stories and incorporate things I learn as well as things people reference when stating reasons not to give up. So, the 5 year outlook, is a great new suggestion for me. Thanks so much!

I think this is one of your best podcast because you lay it out that your first year you lost a lot of weight, then it took forever to lose the rest of it. You point out that you felt much better and you were mobile and your boils went away and that you added movement in. It was wonderful that Kathy also worked with Dani to make sure that her insides were good as well. I hope everyone sees this podcast.😊

Thanks for sharing this story, Kathie and Kelly. I've been doing carnivore for about 5 weeks now, with just about 2 pounds of weight loss. To be fair, my pants are not as tight. I am 73 and extra-sedentary. I have a huge mental obstacle about exercising. I'm in the country with no paved road or driveway and I have low vision, so walking on uneven ground is both dangerous and unnerving. Or that's my excuse! So far I haven't been terribly depressed about the lack of weight, and given I'm a natural born carnivore (don't care for veggies except potatoes, corn, beans) and not a big craver of sweets or breads, the lifestyle isn't a burden. Fortunately no health problems. I've been telling myself to try walking (I do have a treadmill) regularly and see if this spurs any weight loss, sort of tells the metabolism it would be OK to release some of that fat. Anyway, this video came at an opportune time, I wasn't necessarily thinking of quittig, but was I disheartened, but I wasn't hugely encourage to continue, either. So thanks again to both of you. Kathie, do you have an email address you share, or a post office box for mail?

Thank you. I'm down about 45 lbs, was more this spring until vaccations and now dating, so not constantly carnivore. Also, I am not sleeping enough (life long problem). Anyway, this is helpful to help me stay consistent and on course. I'm 44, and I've been overweight since childhood. I'm 5'-3", and my heaviest weight was about 250 lbs. I'd tried everything to loss weight, so was about 220 lb when starting carnivore. Now im 175 lbs. I've gone from a size 18 to a 12. It's made a world of difference. I just need to stay the course and remember that if I eat non carnivore things, and don't get enough sleep, I don't see results (scale or inches). But, when I do it, everything is better from my belly firmness to my face skin.

Took a long time and listening to a lot of stories, but, especially for those coming from a very damaged place, the 3-5 window seems to be fairly consistent. Interestingly, this seems to be the same when ppl go the other way. I am at 3 years this month and expect it to take another couple for sure. However, all the good outweighs ( pun intended ) the fat loss part. Stick with it, it will happen. When Kelly finally let that out of the bag at while ago it gave me the motivation to really look into this. Always fun to hear everyone's story.

Good Morning Kelly! Oh my Goodness! Thank you for your video today. I have been on carnivore for about a year and half. During that time I have lost and gained 10 lbs. I initially lost 14lbs and kept it off, but talk about a "STALL'!! Now I am in this crazy year of the "10lb" mystery!! I have lost inches....and my clothes are loose BUT the scales are constantly going up and down. I stay on my Carnivore no problem.....but I do need more movement. It has been so crazy!! When the scales get to 180 I start losing weight and then when I get to 170 I start gaining weight!!. It's like this yo-yo that just bounces back and forth. My husband started Carnivore (not for weight loss), for more energy and feeling better, well he has done great!! Sometimes I feel that this is never going to change.......so your video is just what I needed today!!!! ❤ from Georgia!!

I jumped ship and have been doing Optavia for 6 months. It helped me take 20 pounds off, but my health issues rash, bloat, post menopause mood swings, joint pain, and sugar cravings are back along with new hair loss. I wish I had stayed the course and just lowered my caloric intake. (Too many carnivore coaches seem to preach eat more and past what you intuitively feel the need for.) I'm working my way back to carivore. I think I'll soon join a coaching session.

Sometimes it is so fantastic to see the before and after pictures and I realise that, that is the only thing you (want to) see. After soooooooo many diets you just want one thing. That this works. And although the evidence is there, we tend to forget that it takes time. This video is the reason I am continuing on this journey. I do have to say that small things did improve already but we live in a "fast" world and I was really anxious to get fast results as well. I have fibromyalgia and the only thing I want is just one day without pain. I would do ANYTHING to just wake up one single morning and not feel pain. Good morning, One very important point I make for myself is to never weigh myself ! In the past it would throw me off my diet. I go by how I feel and how nicely my clothes are fitting. I was carnivore last year but I was unsure how to eat. I know now I had too much butter and the diarrhea was just impossible to sustain the diet. I was very disappointed but I kept watching the videos until I came across Kelly! Through Kelly I learned I could eat ground beef Pattie’s and drink Diet Pepsi and still lose inches. No more diarrhea and no more bad leg cramps at night which were torturous I take magnesium and Himalayan salt for electrolytes every second day and can’t forget to mention, eggs are a problem too regarding diarrhea. So thank you Kelly for all you did for me and for all you do for everyone. You are a light in my life. I am 61 and people think I’m 40 👍🏻 lol. My anxiety is down a lot as well. Oh my goodness it’s finally happening. I took your class in October and November I’m the school bus driver. I’ve fought pretty much every word you said since October and November and then I came across some fat adapted videos after even touching back into high protein because I’ve been working out a lot. I lost 30 pounds back in May and my skin look like it was falling off. Doing keto (2018)I did a three day fat fast and finally all the signs are there that possibly I’m fat adapted. I didn’t lose much weight but I did what you said, and I finally measured myself! Bless your heart. Remember when you said if you’re doing something repetitively and it’s not working, you might want to try something else. Well I was too stupid to move on and do something different. Bless your heart. Thank you so much. Thank you thank you thank you.

Yes! 109 days into my carnivore journey. My weight has stayed exactly the same...but my clothes are looser. Hopped on a body composition scale and have been tracking and wouldn't you know, I've lost 5 lbs of fat, and gained 5 lbs of muscle and that's without working out!! Back in my lifting days, I'd have killed for those kind of gains. I've still got a long ways to go healing wise but I'm so encouraged and there's absolutely no going back.

Thank you so much Kathie! Your happiness is a joy to watch and listen to. Thank you for sharing about your journey! And, thanks Kelly for always knocking it out of the park on your interviews! Question... I will be sharing it with the women in my life. I wonder if there are stories similar to this one [ about 'stalling' in wt.loss] for men as well? I think hearing it from a male prospective/experience, will connect even better with my husband (and other men we know).

Great video, what a lovely lady. I've been on & off the carnivore train for a year. But I put my head down and I'm on week 5, I've hardly dropped much weight.....but my waist is 2 inches in and I feel amazing. Thanks for the video. I'm just back from a body pump 🏋♀️ class at the gym and absolutely devoured and enjoyed 500g of mince (ground beef) to break my fast. I'm very satisfied. Love your content and mindset 👌

Just what I needed to hear today. Keep these coming. I initially lost weight on Ketovore. I’ve been stalled long enough, I started listening to the voice you spoke of and I’ve had a bit of this and that.

There’s this saying I heard from a minister and carnivore. He said “We overestimate what we can do in a week and underestimate what we can do in a year.” That stuck with me.

Remember too, as your bones remineralize, they will add to your weight. This is a good thing. The opposite of osteoporosis.

This was really helpful, Kelly thank you. My only question that I haven't seen anyone else ask in the Carnivore journey is, is it normal to feel nauseous. I'm day 11 and doing well but have times in the day when I really do feel like I may be sick. Bowel is working okay so it's not that, drinking plenty, but sometimes after eating ugh!! Anyone have any clue as to why this may be......

Two beautiful lovely ladies. 😘We are all on our wonderful journeys. Love yourself, tweak things to find what works best for you. This isn't a race. Just keep moving forward. A # on the scale will not show you what is really happening on the inside. Be patient. It feels good to feel good. If you slipped yesterday. Forget it. Today is your new day. Listen to awesome videos like this to get back on track. You're doing something special for you. The having of more energy, less pain, joy & feeling awesome are true benefits. Weight loss is the bonus. Don't you ever give up on yourself. You are special. And will touch other people's lives in special ways. Much love to anyone reading this. Smile & have a wonderful day 💞.

Hi guys! Great video!❤ What should I do if I'm NOT losing inches or pounds and am actually gaining while following Carnivore, exercising, sleeping well, etc? It feels VERY scary to stay the course when my pants are tighter, my face is fuller and the scale is creeping up- even when I feel good inside. 😢

I knocked out my weight-loss stall AND my excrutiating nighttime leg cramps by doing this one thing: Trace Minerals. I was not losing weight on Carnivore, but actually gained two pounds. But three days ago I started adding trace mineral drops to my water, and I'm waking up lighter every day (I'm down 3 pounds!), and zero leg cramps from night one! Not saying what brand because I'm not here to sell.

Dear Kelly, thanks for the wonderful information and your contagious enthusiasm... much appreciated! ❤ Up till now, as far as I can remember, I have not yet heard anything about having a dry mouth. Since I started a week ago with carnivore, I have a very dry mouth. What does this indicate and how can I best deal with it? Thanks in advance for your feedback! Best regards, Peter

This was so perfect to hear , I thought I was failing because I’ve been on the same weight for at least a year after initially getting to 130lbs, I am very small. I have noticed that my body composition and how I look in clothes is really good but I’d love to get to 120 lbs my ideal weight, I shall hang in there after seeing this, thank you both

During this video, you listed Kathie as eating 80-100 grams of protein per day. That equates to 2.8-3.5 ounces of protein, per day. That equates to less than 1/4 pound of meat per day. How can one get enough energy with that small a portion of real food each day?

Milk has lactose which converts to glucose and galactose in the body that equals sugar.
